Pearsall and Jennings WR 1 & 2

Sounds like we are getting rid of Ayiuk and signing Jennings with the money.

Next year our WR 1 and 2 will be Pearsall and Jennings

Hope that isnt the case. JJ isnt worth the money and not good enough to be a 2. Pearsall is good when he plays but we cant rely on him due to injuries. I feel if healthy he is a 1B on a good team.

+1. They can be effective against 2nd tear teams but the Seattle game should should be enough film to show we can't get it done counting on just those two vs an elite defense.

No, Jennings will be gone. His exit interview hints at that as he will be wanting to get as much money as he can on this contract and he should at this stage of this career. Niner's won't pay him large money and I think you'll see the savings from Aiyuk going to other positions. Shanahan today said the team needs to get faster and though I could sense his frustration with Pearsall he also realized it was just an unlucky break. No, I expect them to draft a WR and then possible upgrade in free agency IF someone is available that helps next year and the years after and is affordable. Not an elite, but someone functional as a number one.

Doesn't sound like that at all. That's coach and GM speak. I'm sure they'll try to bring back a proven player but in no way will they go into next year with Jennings as WR1.

I was thinking they meant Pearsall WR1 and Jennings WR2. But I also think we try and sign another elite receiver via draft, free agency or trade.

Among the worst 1-2s in the NFL.

And this is assuming Pearsall plays a full season and Jennings is back....neither of which are more than a coin flip at this point.

It would be great to add a player like Jefferson to the Pearsall/Jennings duo. We should have some money now that we have voided Ayiuk's contract and will let him walk.

lol if Pearsall and JJ come into the next season as 1-2 f**k the season, we're heading into a 3rd place finish again and looking like s**t against Seattle. I'm 100% that won't be the case, I just refuse they're that stupid to go into the season as those being the top 2 WRs
