Going from a generational player in Garrett and a scary ass front 7 with bunch of just drafted good young players (Graham, Schwesinger) where they make him better than he is, to the Niners defense which has two of its best players coming off big injuries and also aging....I dont know

It's the Browns and they suck. They have no QB no HC and it's the browns. Also he might want out if he's pass him up as a HC

Kyle dictates to DCs what to do and likes familiar people running the ship, and his stint with Wilks may have pushed him even further in that direction.

I mean 49er DCs get actual shots to be a HC. How was Wilks a disaster? He went to the freaking SB. Turns out he wasn't really a great fit and last I checked is unemployed because he just might not be very good.

Kyle didn't dictate s**t to Ryans or Saleh. He doesn't want to coach both sides of the ball like that….my god they gave Saleh whatever the hell he wanted. Damn near all our draft picks went to the D. One of the highest paid DCs in football.

this whole narrative that Kyle is some dictator is so full of s**t. If anything his coaching staff has a TON of sway on stuff, not the other way around.

Pls get Schwarz. I don't would see him leaving after one year, he could be our Spags.

I have had a man crush on Schwartz for 49ers DC for several years. Not sure I see it happening, but it'd make me happy AF.

Unless I'm missing something i swore that Shanahan stated that we will run a defense similar to what Dan Quinn was running when he left ATL. That was before Saleh as even named DC. To me that's dictating what they can do. Doesn't meant they don't have input on players that fit the defense or get paid what they deserve. 2 separate things to me.

Maybe the 49ers make some adjustments, but I don't see them going too far from their current scheme.

They gotta do something b/c right now they have only two De's that fit the Wide 9 and both were out with major injuries. Guess you can say 3 with Gross Matos but he sucks. Sam O and Huff are too small to be full time players in our current scheme. Thus why either guy could drum up any pass rush with way more snaps. they aren't built for the wide 9. And they still haven't found a replacement for DJ Jones. If they can't find the talent for the scheme then maybe they need to change the scheme.

I think Keion White could be good in the scheme with some more coaching and should be included as a DE that fits our wide 9.

I think Wilks was the only DC to be allowed to make any changes but it's been a similar concept since Kyles first day here.

Apparently the Browns have been asking Schwartz in his interviews which coaches he would want to work with if he doesn't get the HC job. Idk he doesn't sound like a realistic option for us… feel like something would've come up by now if he wanted to go elsewhere.
