Transitioning away from the Wide 9 to a 4-3 is more realistic.
Raheem Morris seems to prefer the 3-4, so could be problematic, but he has past experience in 4-3, so…. Maybe.

i would really like to have a long term DC Guru who is not chasing the HC Carousel and get some continuity and develop young Assistants.

Morris is a 4–3 guy. I think he's the best available DC that isn't a HC candidate or under contract anywhere already.

He would be better than Gus. The players haven't said anything about Gus other than he can give a good pep talk. He was horrific in Indianapolis even with their talent.
This sucks big time. Huge loss.

Its not a bad hire. Not a great hire but is expected. I honestly don't really see much drop off from Saleh besides his intensity
They'll be significant drop off Saleh to Bradley.
All eyes are on Cleveland right now… not something most people ever say…

Didn't think about Matt Burke in Houston. That would be super interesting. Although, I bet he'd get a head coach opportunity in at least two years, or less..

Ya know....didn't we bring up Demeco a bit earlier than expected to be the DC? KJ Wright might be the next dude.

When Saleh left to take the Jets job in 2021 the Niners still didn't fall apart. Bosa was DPOY in 2022 and they went to a SB in 2023. They allowed the fewest points in 2022 and were 3rd in 2023, Also top 10 in yards allowed in both years.

It's not just about the coaches. If you have the right players you can still win.
I'm hoping for Gym Shorts, but I'm expecting Bradley to be promoted. I'm fine with that too. I wouldn't really expect a drop off and with Bosa, Warner, and Williams coming back I'm sure the defense would be better.

I think the world caught on to Gus Bradley's Cover 3. I really hope Shanahan doesn't go that route, but if does I hope it's the last resort. My first choice is Schwartz like everyone else but how good has he been without Myles Garrett? Brian Flores is another DC I want coming in second but isn't he under contract still? Raheem Morris I wouldn't mind but how have his defenses been over the

I just feel like Gus is super vanilla in his play calling. He had some quality defenses in LA under Lynn (after the Seattle yrs) but it's been s**t after that. We might as well hire Wade Phillips if we're gonna look back to 2019 as his last good DC job.

Schwartz makes the most sense based on what he runs and that being Kyle's favorite scheme. Smooth transition. Philly had a good defense when he was there all the same. Jim is still under contract though.

Flores gonna be a HC imo. Wouldn't hate seeing him mix it up. I've been saying Morris as DC for a while. He runs a ton of C3 as well. I think he's just a good football coach in general.

Ryans was at least a position coach before becoming a DC. I'd be shocked if they went that route. We all know it's gonna be a lazy move getting Gus

Or a transition one, right? Gus runs it for a year, while KJ gets more seasoning under his belt.
All in on Raheem Morris or Matt Burke with Wright being groomed if the latter is picked.

There's no shot that Shanahan sees Bradley's vanilla ass and thinks he can match up with McVay. I find it so hard to believe. Bradley calls defenses like he's still got the 2012 Seahawks' defense personnel playing ofr him.

Didn't Schwartz get a second interview with the Browns? I am not sure it is likely he comes here.

They've given second interviews to a number of candidates, and now that McDermott is available, I fully expect his name to be thrown into the mix, given they have a history of interest in him.
