Raheem Morris is so overrated. Dude has never coordinated a top 16 defense

"But he won a Super Bowl in 2021 with Aaron Donald!!!" yeah and? That defense was way way better in 2020 before he took it over.

I hope they interview some guys on Seattle's staff. If nothing else to pick their brain on Macdonald's scheme.

You wouldn't give up anything about the scheme outside of what the 49ers likely already know about it. Never give the milk for free. Make them buy the cow.

I want some new blood; not re-threads a la Gus or Raheem. This defense needs something new and creative after back to back underwhelming seasons. Yes; I know that injuries played a huge factor; still want some change. I'm completely over the wide-9

Defense only fell off a cliff once we took the personnel hits. I do believe we need to have a more flexible defensive philosophy however to combat offenses like our own now that everyone is using it

If he's "forced" to run the system we want and not the system he's comfortable with then it's Steve Wilks all over again. If we're willing to commit to a 3-4 (which we don't have the LBs to run) then let's go. If not then chase someone like Jim Schwartz.

I don't think we need to have some ridiculously hard scheme that doesn't allow these guys to play fast and go. I also don't think you have to continue running the same s**t yr after yr regardless of if not really working anymore.

Even Schwartz doesn't run the same scheme. He plays a ton of man coverage. That's something Green was really good at while at FSU.

Just get the best coach who can adapt and lead. IMO Gus is stagnant and not innovative at all. I'll be happy if Saleh takes him.

Titans haven't officially announced the hire yet, so technically it's not official right?

Bradley, Morris, and Schwartz are all viable options. but what about looking at KJ Wright? Has a good knowledge of the game, came from a superstar Defense and could be a voice that our young players need

Looking at his past record, it seems as though Bradley hasn't made much of an impact as a DC since 2017, almost a decade ago. I would have to think there are better options out there. As much trouble as Jim Schwartz has given us over the years, it seems like he would certainly be worth an interview. Kyle and Raheem Morris are friends, plus he fills their Rooney Rule needs, so bring him in. Like many others, I would hate to see them settle on Bradley because it's convenient, even if it means changing up your system a bit. Seattle's defense has upped the stakes for the whole division. If 49ers want to compete next year, they had better get serious about improving on that side of the ball and bringing in some elite playmakers on offense.

Whatever defense the Seahawks use is what I want. Our current defense isn't working and is out of date.
