Sam Darnold has not thrown a football since Thursday. Seattle is unsure if he will be okay tonight.

With all due respect, Drew Lock does not mess up a gameplan. He does not play for a reason. He is a train wreck.

Ah, spoken like the true fans that you are. Even with Darnold the team has a more than a fair chance to win. Trent Williams will be back, which will be huge, no more holding backs in to help out Pleasance. Pearsall may be back, which gives us someone who can stretch the field a bit and keep their LBs from clogging up the intermediate routes over the middle.
Bethune, who had several of the team's missed tackles in the last game, has been replaced by the far more experienced Kendricks, who combined with Wallow for 21 tackles, and is also a better coverage LB. Brown has been replaced by Sigle who had eight solo tackles in less than four quarters of play and looks to have improved in his pass coverage a bit. And, regardless of who the Seahawks line up behind center, Brock is better. Does any of that guaranty a 49er win? Absolutely not, but the negativity guys like you bring to every game, is pretty tiresome. Go Niners!

49ers may actually catch a huge break here concerning injuries.

Likely game-time decision.

I mean if you were gonna request one player from any team to be "hurt" you're gonna request their QB.
True, but let's be honest. True but Seattle still wins that week 18 game even if darnold isn't the qb. I don't think he impacted that game at all.

I wish I felt more confident about this game but unless the Seahawks are flat after the week off I can't see the Niners winning. The 49ers offense can't be much of a factor if they can't get on the field. The Seahawks D is more than good enough to force some 3 and outs and a turnover or two.
Yeah I'm starting to feel the same. That SEA D man....it was just good week 18. They had the answers to stop Brock and the offense. Unless Shanny has a completely different game plan, its hard to see a different outcome. Can only go into this game with no expectations and hope for the best.
Trent Williams at LT to stabilize the OL
Pearsall to open up coverage
that is all the difference from week 18 we need
Not having Kittle kind of cancels out having a less than 100% Pearsall. Having Williams back is a help but is it enough? He can't block the entire D line alone. Fans that say we beat thenminSeattle in the opener are ignoring two key things.
The Niners team that opened the season wasn't the team we'll see today. No Bosa. No Warner. No Williams. No Kittle. Pearsall isn't nearly 100%. The LBs are all replacements.
Seattle is better now. They got stronger down the stretch. They went 11-1 in there final 12 games losing only to the Rams 21-19 in LA. They had several rookies and 2nd year players that improved immensely as the year went on. This is a really good team
This doesn't mean the 49ers can't win but it would take some major screwups by the Seahawks combined with a colossal effort by the Niners. Everything has to fall in place. No margin for error.

this has subterfuge all over it. Trying to get into Saleh's head to adjust gameplan before kickoff.
You would have to imagine pro coaches don't fall for this stuff.
Sam already stated no way in hell I'm not playing.
But if he can't torque his midsection, doesn't that make his throwing motion suck

What we need from Darnold, or lock, are turnovers. If we can get them to screw up twice and give us good field position.
then we also need much better o line play.
with those two, we have a great chance. Last game we got beat down cause Brock wasn't able to complete a 3 step drop before he got hit or was under pressure. We will make plays if pass pro can hold up for 3+ seconds.

Line is starting to trend down toward the 49ers.
Go 49ers! 💫🎉
I thought Brock had this same injury in his rookie season, and he didn't missed any games.
If I remembered correctly, he got that injury on a Sunday game and he played on the next Thursday.

I think Darnold is hurting more than is being let on - like when Brock played them with broken ribs and was in really bad pain.
I think early on he will look fine but as the pain killers wear off - he'll struggle down the stretch.
I'll be honest - idc what happens, outside of being more injured, I just want us to win.

27-13 Niners ALL DAY. Our new set of LB's and having Ricky and Trent back for this rematch will make a big difference. Stack the box and make Sammy of Drew beat us. Bang bang
