I didn't think they could pull off a win in Philly and they did it.

Seahawks are clearly favorites but I wouldn't bet against this Niners team.

Going into this one no different than I did into the Eagles game.

My expectations are low but with this coaching staff and team perseverance I'm not ruling out anything.

Reality is Seattle is better coached and has an identity that Philadelphia didn't. They will rightfully so be confident after how they handled us just a week ago and the final score really wasn't that close and that game was in SF.

Having said that - our coaches are pretty good too. I have to imagine they adjust some things and as much as it sucks to lose George, he was clearly playing through stuff and wasn't his usual self against them week 18. Hopefully Ricky and/or Cowing are a go for this game so we can get some better speed on the field at WR which will be needed.

We'll have to find a way to break through and get our offense back on track. Hopefully our defense can build on the performance last night and do a better job stopping the running game of Seattle and force Sam Darnold into mistakes passing the ball.

Simply put we have to play clean on all sides of the ball and our players have to step up. If there is a tough catch to be made - make it. If there is a tough throw to be made - make it. If there is a tough tackle to make - make it.

We got our butts whooped in that last game. Play with intensity and passion. Seattle has all the pressure on them. Hopefully they choke on it.

I didn't think we'd beat the Eagles and I think Seahawks is a tougher challenge. However, in week 18 our defense was thrashed due to a lot of mistakes in flinging running lanes, poor tackling, and lacking coordination on the back end. I think the defense plays better this time around and maybe really limit the Seahawks to 13-21 pts without them making mistakes. The biggest unknown is whether Kyle will be able to come up with a better scheme to move the ball consistently against McDonald's defense. That will be the biggest factor in deciding this game. Oh, having Trent back will give Purdy more time to throw, and that'll be another big difference. I'm sure it won't be as ugly as the week 18 game.

Darrell Taylor just released by Houston

Darrell Taylor, a pass rusher, was just released by Houston. The article linked above suggests the Niners' could sign him. "He had at least 24 pressures from 2021 through 2024."

Wikipedia: 28, 6 ft 4 in., 267 lb
NFL draft 2020: 2nd round, 48th overall pick
Taylor finished his collegiate career with 118 tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss, and 19.5 sacks with six forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and seven passes defended in 38 games.
NFL: 23.5 sacks in 60 games.
NFL exec meeting " ok, how can we f**k the 49ers going into Divisional after f**king them over twice already with shorter turnarounds late in the season"
Gotta get it done. Nobody is going to feel sorry for us because of "short weeks"

Coaching staff can't be this CLUELESS on how to attack Seattle's Air Knox Offense !!! - stay OFF the umbrella coverage that allows Darnold to be PATIENT!!

SF - 24
Sea - 3

I don't know why yall do this to yourselves. You're just setting yourself up for heartache. I understand being proud of your team, which you should be. But calling it the "easiest win of the post season" is asinine. Especially since your offense got rag-dolled that last time we played, and you'll be missing Kittle this go round.

Stop with the victim complex...it isnt a conspiracy

SF has already experienced both sides of this playoff scheduling in the past

We had the 1 seed and got the benefit of short rest

We had the wild card and went a day short

SF won both of those examples

Quit whining
Sellout vs the run + force Darnold to throw all day = dub city.

We also enjoyed one extra day of rest after playing week 18 on a Sat.

I really hope this will be the game that the defense generates a turnover or 2. I'm still in awe that they won last night losing the turnover battle, but can't count on that against a much better Seattle team.

Sad to think that guys like this will suddenly vanish like a fart in the wind after coming here to talk smack all week. Then watching the Seahawks lose.

and Kyle specifically said that felt like bye week to all the players.

i get that #1 seeds always play saturdays on divisional weekend, it's just wild the Niners having to deal with these multiple short weeks in the past month.

there could be a silver lining in that SEA has been sitting around and hopefully softening up while the Niners continue to get more battle tested.

Im not going to say easiest win this will be a dog fight like the eagles game. Im going to say 49ers win 30-27 I think this is the post season of defense is optional. Rams have a good defense and gave up 31 to the Panthers. And now not even a banged up patchwork defense allowed that and neither did Seattle's d. But both offenses are better than the Panthers. Imo whoever wins this has a 93.4 percent chance to hoist the super bowl trophy
