If Trent is out, it's game over. With him we can get the run game going better and squeeze out a win. But it sounds like he isn't playing.

I think we can still win with Trent out but we need Pearsall to play. Pleasants needs to have a good game and Brock needs to get the ball out more quickly and will have Pearsall and Jennings to throw it to. Do some screen passes to McCaffrey and Brock needs to be more creative and run more.

I just don't know if his body can handle (right now because of injury) this kind of game. I like the guy, but maybe it was a good thing he didn't play against the Seahawks.

Imo he needs to be 100% for these kinds of hard hitting defenses.

He shouldn't be playing football if anything you said was the case

It's not that deep, his knee is not right and PCLs are a tricky thing to deal with

Well we shouldn't be game planning around a dude who's had ongoing knee issues all year lol.

I saw Trent is listed as doubtful for the game .. so ya basically out….

He hasn't been officially listed as doubtful. Ian Rap simply speculated that his status is "in doubt."

He could very well be correct but there is no official listing yet.

Picky Ricky just doesn't want to play. I mean someone said this. Look at Jennings. Played with broken ribs, messed up shoulder and bad ankle but he showed up. Picky Ricky just complains he can't go. The Niners need to do a better job when the draft wide receivers at looking into the guy's mental fortitude. Then again Pearsall has a 12.5 million dollar guraneteed contract approximately. I mean with 12.5 million dollars guraneteed, your set for life. So he's made his money and it is very evident he doesn't care right now. Watch. He'll have another rough year next year, then in 2027 he'll play the majority of games, have a record year and demand a top tier contract. Sounds typical for a 49ers receiver lately.

Just no major Injuries that will linger into next season. That's all I ask of you Football Gods.

But I know how cruel you can be to 49er fans, so this might be a fruitless plead for your mercy.

I have this awful feeling Pearsall will play, everyone will be so excited… and then on the second play of the game he catches it, gets tackled… ball returned for an Eagles TD while he remains on the ground

That's just mean…. probably true but mean

I'll take any glimmer of hope I can get at this point.

It's to the point my buddies and I take bets on how many plays he plays and how many catches he makes before he's either slow to get up or gimpy running around.

Nobody has ever picked more than 3 catches or 5 routes run... Most of us say he gets one catch and he comes up gimpy after.

Sounds like they felt he was, and should have played

What a silly comment. If JJ had legit broken ribs he would not be playing due to the possibility of punctured lung.

Ricky doesn't get a game check if he doesn't play, so the narrative that he's just "sitting it out" it's nonsense. You've clearly never had a serious knee issue. Dude is no good to us if he can't run routes. They won't even clear him to play if he doesn't hit certain markers (like GPS markers).

your comment tells me you don't watch college football or do nfl draft research. Never missed a game in college regardless of dealing with injuries

not sure if posted already, but hopefully a good sign

So he's soft.

Yea I did not know this so thanks
Trent is practicing well. So the line went up to 5.5 because Trent is playing but Pearsall is out.
Weather looking great on Sunday in Philly!

FYI on Jennings, see this LINK over at CBS Sports on what he has played through. On the second part I had knee surgery for a torn ACL and miniscus when I played Triple AAA back in the early 1980's and I know the recovery for that and it ended my career because I ended up with a sespis infection after surgery which significantly damaged my joint.

The pay part your wrong on. He is getting a check. You may not like my comment and that is fine and you can disagree with it, but the frustration is he is not playing nor playing through the injury when coaches felt he could and should be playing (as in the Seahawks game).
An NFL Player receives his salary even if he is injured and does not play in a specific game, provided he is on the active roster or a designated injury list like the Injured Reserve (IR) or NFI (non-football injury) list.
NFL players on the active roster are typically paid a weekly salary during the season, regardless of whether they are listed as "active" or "inactive" for a particular game due to injury or coach's decision, unless their contract specifies otherwise. That is extremely rare for guaranteed money which Pearsall has in his rookie contract.
