The weekend did the Niners one favor. Philly's loss means they've fallen to the second seed, replacing the Rams. Although the Niners would probably not be favored against any team presently qualifying for the playoffs, they have a decent chance against any team other than the Rams at this point. Advancing in the playoffs, should they qualify, will require the offense to play like it did last week while the defense plays like it did this week. Given the number of starters' missed games due to injuries, including leading players, qualifying for the playoffs would be a huge achievement.

Well said. I like the fact the defense has been getting more confident and generally better since the collapse after Warner went down. The defense forced 3 TOs a week ago and 2 TOs yesterday. This is a sign the backend is getting better.

On Thanksgiving we want Green Bay to win at Detroit. If we happen to lose at Cleveland on Sunday but Detroit loses tomorrow, we are still in playoffs. If Detroit wins tomorrow and we lose on Sunday, we are out of the playoffs.

Baltimore - Harbaugh runs Gore and we win. We were the better team
Kansas City first time - We were better team. Up late in 4th if proper holding gets called on Bosa 3rd and 15 we win.
Kansas City second time - Once again we were better team. Kyle defers in overtime by knowing rules and we win.
Either case, we have had the best championship culture since the Super Bowl era. We have been overall the best team and most consistent.

How many SBs has Andy won without Spagnulo? How many did Walsh win without Seifert?

Salah is great. He better stay a DC, however, because he is not head coach material.

The 49ers "easiest SOS":
— JakeTheSnake (@TheRealMcKoy85) November 26, 2025
LAR: (2x): Best team in the NFC, if not the NFL.
SEA: (2x; 2nd game TBD): Top 10 DEF.
TB: Mayfield was viewed as an MVP candidate when they played.
HOU: No. 1 DEF in the NFL
CLE: No. 2 DEF
IND: AFC South leader
CHI: NFC North leader
Come on.

Baltimore still would have had a minute or so left. The 49ers defense was not exactly stopping them throughout the game. But overall, those have to be the worst four consecutive playcalls in SB history. To not run Gore once is negligence. I still have no idea what Harbaugh and company were thinking.
SB 54-Holding should have been called. It wasn't. But the Niners let them hang around. The playcalling with a ten point lead was suspect at best. Once the Tyreek Hill catch happened, I had a feeling we were not winning.
SB58-The Chiefs seemed surprised during postgame interviews that the Niners took the ball. That is the second time they beat us and subsequently wondered about our decision making. A Chiefs player admitted they could not stop the run in SB 54. They were happy Kyle put it in the hands of Jimmy. Just an embarrassing look for us. They probably laughed about it on the ride home.
