I don't know how much value #2 has. When we drafted Bosa, known as a staunch right winger, all the comments revolved around how he would fit in with the locker room, known at the time for a different persuasion. It didn't seem to matter at all and I concluded that players don't care so much about politics.

I'm in Texas and liberals are flooding the place. It makes no difference when we're conducting business and getting money. I figure it's the same for football players.

No two people will agree on how the government is run nor will they all agree on how society should be but when a team is trying to win that one is a part of, it's all hands on deck with a singular focus

Not a good look for SF...i say that as a very....VERY...old 49ers fan..

"Buster Posey indicated that some free agents have expressed uneasiness about signing with the San Francisco Giants due to negative perceptions of the city regarding safety, drugs, and crime. While not applying to all players, this reputation has created challenges in recruiting, with some potential signings favoring other locations." - 2023

Crazy thing is, here in the bay when we start talking about (stereotyping) dangerous cities SF is mentioned dead last. Oakland leads these conversations with Richmond, EPA, San Jose, and Vallejo all coming up.

SF is always considered destination #1.

With that said, "nothing good happens after midnight" no matter the city.

The deterrents to signing in SF are:
#1 HIGH state income taxes. "California has the highest top state income tax rate in the U.S. at 13.3% for income over $1 million".
#2. Conservative players don't like the politics of Calif = insane politicians and radical libs etc
#3. Dangerous city "Ricky Pearsall almost murdered" story
#4. Electrical power station EMF radiation adjacent to the practice field - lots of players don't like that

If you sign in Florida or Texas etc etc almost none of these problems exist

But then you're in Texas or Florida, which is an entirely separate set of f**ked up problems, including suck ass football teams.

Don't those to places have way more crime than SF/CA? Firearm crimes are way higher those states unless I am missing something?

per capita?

With so many people living in CA, you would think those numbers would be off the charts based on what we hear from the political right.

What do you make of this statement?: "This is the safest time in human history."
