Right, that statement was partly with those games in mind.

We have shared enemies and, though our pain as fanbases are unique to each of our respective teams, they're still similar gut punches of experiences.

I had a feeling that defense would be vastly improved with the infusion of youth from the draft. My big question was how long would it take? Rookies are not great when they first step on the field. You are lucky to see flashes of what kind of player they will become. But consistently great play takes time and experience.

That said? I thought it would take 8-10 games before fans would see tangible results. I was off by a few games. But as good as this defense was tonight, it is going to get even better. That's scary.
