In light of recent events, we need to look harder at the schedule

On the surface, this still looks in our favor, but there are games here that should make the Niners nervous, and I am not talking about the obvious choices of the Rams, Colts, and Seahawks. I mean those teams that are treading around .500 (Texans and Falcons), and I will throw in a wild card that will be get me laughed out of the room, the 1-5 Cleveland Browns. That defensive line of their's is very good. Their offense? Not so much. I know, I know, but something about teams like the Browns always make me nervous; especially when I think about our offensive line's inability to get the job done. The Titans, who have a similar record, not at all.

Texans are going to rout us, I'll get to see it front and center lol

Falcons, Giants, panthers are all playing well. This may not be as easy of a schedule as many think. I can see us going anywhere from 4-7 to 6-5 to finish the season

Finishing 500 would be a great year. Lots of football left but it don't look promising today. Let's see how it goes. This team has a different spirit than last year. They may surprise us.

They aren't going to beat Atlanta. Atlanta D is going to donkey stomp 49ers line and probably get 2 picks. They will run all over the weak defense. 49ers lose by 2TD maybe more.

I would say the Browns and Bears are the ones I think may be able to upset the Niners, from what's left of the season. I don't see a loss with either the Panthers or the Giants and, I don't know why, I have an inkling that the Colts won't be able to get a win either.

Im not sure how anyone can look at this schedule objectively and think it's favorable. The only games we shouldn't lose are to Cleveland, Tennessee and Houston. The other teams have been playing pretty well it will just be a toss up. But I wouldn't look at this schedule and say yeah they will make the playoffs.

Right, we just don't know if the run game will come alive or how far will the defense drop without both Bosa and Warner. If TB game is an indication, then we're in deep trouble.

It so hard to evaluate "strength" of schedule when players move, get injured, have more experience, etc. Before the season started, everyone was looking at us with a "weak" schedule....now not so much. Heck, look at the lambs....they have a "cake walk" of a schedule as it stands today. I just think every year there are teams that look good at the first half of the season who fall off and a team or two who comes out of no where that are in serious contention. I just hope we hang around with youth and varying levels of health and "peak" at the right time to make a run.

Texans and Giants are winnable games. Ram are always tough (as is any division rival tbh). If we can somehow beat them again we would be in a fantastic position. One game at time.

Ok got Atlanta out of the way.

If we can beat the Texans, then Playoffs look like a real possibility. Beat the Rams as well, then its pretty much a lock.

Being 5-2 is good, but what REALLY helps us is being 5-1 in the NFC. Because my goodness, the NFC is insanely stacked. The 4-2 Chicago Bears wouldn't even make the playoffs if they started today. The 3-3 Minnesota Vikings are the 12th seed.

I really think if we can just go 5-5 the rest of the way, as LONG as all 5 losses aren't to NFC teams, we make the playoffs. That NFC record is going to be MASSIVE in tiebreakers, especially if multiple teams finish with the same record as us and the head-to-head tiebreaker gets nullified.
