Johnny Del's Football academy ?

Jonny has his own site and is active on twitter. Here is his recent post for anyone who want to track him down there.


I always enjoyed his coverage and he and our own thl used to make X's and O's based threads to cover the games. I always respected them for that...especially for the ugly loss games. I usually try to rewatch every game but rewatching the blowout losses was such a damn grind that sometimes I'd just watch the condensed version instead of the all22.

I really enjoy johnnydels breakdowns. I think theyre better than most and very informative. He isn't the gospel but does a great job providing context and understanding to the plays.

I can't get deep into it because I'm in a place with bad internet.... but anyone else, check this old conversation, 2021 Colts game at Levi's in bad weather where Jimmy once again s**t the bed, where JonnyDel was determined to convince us that a "dropped" ball by Deebo was a pass that hit him in the "chest".

When in fact it was not dead in his chest but further out by the shoulder AND a defender got his arm in there and broke the play up. Jonny was so determined to try to convince us our eyes were lying to us, just to defend Jimmy... that he had to get passive aggressive with me, which of course I returned the favor with more force.... and of course I was banned.

Don't recall him being anything other than a student of the game and a 49ers' fan, not aware of any status as a cultist.

His film breakdowns are great and he puts in a lot of work. I appreciate him. I don't think we need to criticize him from the peanut gallery. If anything he is a great asset here and I have seen him around. He's just busy with game watching and film breakdown and videos. He doesn't post all day here. But it doesn't mean he doesn't come around either. Because I have seen him on the WZ.

No, but he did have the football knowledge to be able to look at Jimmy objectively and understand what his strengths and weaknesses were, both of which he would point out as warranted. And he also understood that the version of Trey Lance that was in SF for a couple of years, wasn't a better QB than the one they had in Jimmy. which, of course, pissed off the Lance is God crowd to no end. It seems like he posts mostly on his YouTube Channel now. Probably got tired of all of the silliness that goes on in here.

I definitely got into with him about Jimmy G. Pretty sure i got the boot too. I didnt pull this out of thin air. He was a homer for sure. I am sure he is a great X and Os guy and its great he has a youtube channel. Good for him. There was so much homerism about Jimmy on this forum back then i am not letting it go.

Jimmy G is on the Rams. If you don't want to let him go then go talk in the Rams thread in NFL talk. We don't need Jimmy G discussions in here.
