49ers @ Bucs Pregame Thread 10-12-25

I've just accepted this will be a patchwork roster all season

I think it comes down to conversions for the 49ers. They must do well on getting 1st downs and keeping the Tampa offense off the field. The defense will need a few key plays like the Rams as I don't think we will stop Baker, espeically in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. Limiting him in those quarters is key I think based on stats.He does a LOT in those two quarters. Finally we must convert more touchdowns over field goals. It will either be close as it has been most of the year which is what I expect. I think the nod is going to the Bucs because of home field and the fact of our DL and we haven't had interceptions. Turnovers could be key here also. I hope Jones shows the NFL again that he is the real deal. I am hoping for a Niner victory but I think this could go either way.

We are gonna need Ricky and Juan this week. Long trip across country need has many hands on deck has possible.

I would start ALL our backups if that is the case. Or find guys on the street that can play for this game.

Of course, in case Mac gets hurt, it's wise to give Martinez reps. Your nicknames though lolol

Not being healthy enough to throw at all with the game 72 hours away doesn't sound great.

Everyone (including 49er fans) is overlooking the 49ers defense. Again. Everyone is focusing on Mac Jones. Or Baker Mayfield. Fine. Absolutely no one has brought up the line wrecking play of 49er rookies Mykel Williams, Alfred Collins and CJ West. For those of you who were not old enough to see the 49ers Gold Rush of 1976-1977, this is what it looked like. Everyone on that defensive line was a threat to blow up every single play in every single game. You just did not know who was going to do it. This is the sixth game of the NFL season. This incredible defensive front is becoming a force in front of our eyes and NOBODY is taking this into consideration.

It's a good thing the Bucs are banged up as well. I think this game will come down to the wire like all the others
