The team is fortunate to have the mini bye after the LA game. It will give them a chance to heal up a bit before Tampa, which is going to be a pretty tough game I imagine. Really hoping they can find more of their pass rush and running attack before kick-off.
We need to win to stay the number 1 seed in the NFC. Go 49ers!
Man it would be great if we got Mustapha back this week. I know his window just opened and we should rush anything but any positive development would be nice with this season full of injuries. Plus, I'm starting to doubt that BA will be back anytime soon or, perhaps, even this year.
just having one of Pearsall/Jennings will be huge, but hopefully both. It will be tough, the game time move to afternoon helps. Baker was impressive yesterday, but I believe Saleh will have a good plan for him. It will be a fun week leading up to the game

Now him and Farrell are crosstrained to play FB but they're not fullbacks. Tonges isn't even that great of blocking TE. He's improving but a much better passcatcher. I agree Juice isn't as valuable as 3 or 4 years ago but he's still the best FB in the league which is saying a lot. I swear Cohn just makes up s**t constantly, has no idea what the hell he's talking about.

Saying he's the best fullback in the league really ISN'T saying a lot, when there are like 10-12 total in the entire league. Besides us and the Ravens, I don't really know who else utilizes one much of the time. I wanted us to draft Hunter Luepke a couple of years ago, but the Cowboys got him - so guessing they are another that does.

He isnt even the best FB and your right. Not alot of competition
I'm all for switching to 12 personnel as our main offense when Kittle comes back because right now Tonges is one of our best 5 skill position players.

Juszczyk is a FB which means his main job is blocking but our running game is garbage even with him on the field and in the passing game he has to be schemed open to catch 1 pass per game meanwhile Tonges catched 7 passes last week and has 3 TD's so far.

Heck Juszczyk shouldn't even be on the team this season but Shanahan makes way too many emotional decisions.

If the offense has 2 TE's that can catch the defense has no chance because they have to match with all the linebackers but 90% of linebackers are awful in coverage and if we add CMC running routes we will have mismatches all over the field.

12 personnel is the way that's why I wanted Tyler Warren in the draft.
Heard talk about Baker for MVP , I hope Moose goes all Hitner on him

I think BA plays at some point but he won't be the old Aiyuk. He was lucky to have signed that big contract when he did. Good for him not for the team.

Still cant believe we are the #1 seed with what we're dealing with. Any other year, we are probably 2 games back in the division.

We can really start to get noticed as a true #1 seed if we beat the Bucs. We won't get any respect unless we do that. But I think we are better off not being noticed.

I'm not expecting him this year. It was a bad move to pay him after he missed camp because he hit the field NOT in football shape and that's a bad thing. From now on negotiate up until a player starts holding out beyond the start of training camp. They do that we end negotiations because we're sure to get a player not ready for the season and will lead to poor performance and injury

Yea our coaches have had the jump in prep time so I'm expecting a good effort
My biggest concern in this one is our pass rush...more specifically lack of it.

Sounds like we'll be down YGM and Kalia Davis. That's obviously on top of missing Bosa already.

The TB OL has been playing great. BAD combo. Our coverage is going to have to be REALLY good and it's hard to see it happening vs some talented skill players that the Bucs have. Going to need to get some batted balls and find a way to get turnovers...would be a wonderful time for the defense to break their interception drought.

I'm really impressed with how clutch Baker has been playing so we have to tackle well and at least not have mental errors back there.

Hopefully the excitement from the Rams game has worn off cuz we do have a tendency to let up after emotional wins in the past. Every game is critical so we gotta try to stack these wins. Tampa has some guys missing as well so hopefully our offense is able to put up points and our defense makes enough big plays to win another tough one.
