What offense misses most, we miss a prime Deebo

Deebo was always really good against the Rams
There is no equivalent to a prime Deebo in the league anymore. It's too bad because prime Deebo was one of my all-time favorite 49ers to watch.

It misses a running game.

IE Kittle and some outside blocking.

And some inside blocking.

Yup. Id say blocking over anything.

This team missed it's window. The most dominant on defense was the 2019 version with Jimmy G. Who got carried there by the defense. Offensively we were a little better on the 2023 version. But defense even then I don't think was the same. Anyway we keep running into Mahomes, Reid, Kelce and Chris Jones. So it never works out. We were close yet strangely far. Honestly flawed teams in some ways. Especially in 2023 I just don't think that defense was what you need to win and stop Mahomes. The first one was. But we had Jimmy G who couldn't throw down the field and that was costly. In addition to spotty offensive line both years. The drop off to now is light years difference. We are not in the same category as those teams and those believing that are acting delusional.

This will always be one of my favorite defenses. We should have won it all that year.

Dee Ford womp womp performance after being kinda shamed by his KC defense teammates. Even Chase Young had a dominate 1st Half. Given matchups years apart aren't cut & dry

I remember our Run Defense was very dominant but KC attacked it head on that night. So many 1st down conversions on the ground by inches.

Yet they were still up 10 with 8 minutes left

That was a dominant defense. If we had a QB who could make downfield throws we would have won that game. Doesn't even need bombs. Just can't be helpless at it. Like we were. But that was a powerhouse defense.

I do believe Jimmy was banged on the head. I watched with buddy and he was surprised we kept running gadgets so late into the game.

To your point with the score. This game is overlooked within the 3 games but it was our best complete performance.

Edit: that was their best team too. To not have taken down their best or weakest (2023) is very humbling.
We will be back. Always are.

Do not miss his lazy ass blocking and pulling up on deep routes Time After Time After Time After Time.

And if I see one more orbit motion play from Shanahan I'm going to barf. Thankful he has a fresh start elsewhere. Hope he takes advantage.
One of my concerns about KS when Deebo was here, it that the offense went into steep decline when Deebo was injured. Which told you how reliant the scheme was on ONE player. The unique ability to put the defense in a bind by motioning Deebo from RB to receiver, and received to RB made the whole scheme work. All while still having a true running back in the game.

CMC could take on this same exact role, but we don't have a true RB threat other than CMC. So it's not the same.
