I dont see it as such. The Jags are 2-1 and we're not a huge juggernaut or as such coming in. I think we're only like 3 pt favorites. I see it as any other Sunday, anyone can win. If the 49ers can execute they will likely take the W.

24-13 49ers.

It won't be a trap game simply because we're riddled with injuries and playing a lot of back ups and rookies. CMC, Huff, and Warner definitely arent overlooking this one.

We're favorites, just had three emotional wins (including a critical one against a division rival just this week), obviously struggling with injuries, and we have a significantly more important Thursday night game in LA instantly following this one. The Jags are easy to overlook because they were trash last season and they're not undefeated this season. To top it all off, this is by far the least important game on our schedule up to this point and probably our least important game until late October.

If this isn't a trap game then there is no such thing as a trap game ever.

Dude, we just fielded our JV squad the past 2 games and are coming off a season loss of a pro bowl captain. This team still managed to get to 3-0. We are getting back starters that are eager to prove their worth, there's not a single player or coach that isn't solely focused on this game and ready to go out and get to 4-0.

If they do end up losing, it won't be because they weren't prepared.

Definitely not a trap game considering we could easily be sitting at 0-3 right now and Jags are a top 5/10 defense in points allowed/yards allowed.

Lawrence is as talented a QB as we've played this season and has some talented weapons around him. Arguably the best offense we've played against and we're going into this one without our best DLman.

It will be all about eliminating mistakes on both sides of the ball. We have to win the turnover battle. Can't give up big plays or bad penalties on defense. Make Lawrence dink and dunk if he has to and hope his turnover prone self comes out on the road.

I think Kyle and Saleh will have the team ready so it's up to the players to execute the game plan and avoid those mental errors that can quickly kill the game.

I don't know of many trap games where the majority of a panel of trained, professional football experts are picking the other team to win.

I live in Jacksonville and was at this game. Sat in the Jaguars home section with my buddy, both decked out in SF gear. They hated us that afternoon 😂

This might be petty of me, but I wonder if Saleh had this game circled and has anything special dialed up. I think Jags kinda toyed with him with their HC position. If it were me, I'd look to completely shut down whatever offensive 'genius' they hired as one last "f" you.

Exactly. 49ers' days of being primed for a trap game are behind them for a while. Who knows what each team will look like but I would think the only real trap games potentially this year would be the Giants depending how Dart is playing and Titans after our bye week.

But considering we're still missing several All Pro/PB level players and the defense is filled with young players I can't see anyone sneaking up on us. If we don't play well it will be cuz we didn't play well or made a lot of mental errors and not cuz we overlooked an opponent.

Good point. Forgot about that. Hope Saleh and the defense give the Jags a big middle finger for sure.
Had no clue the Jags had a winning record lol

I wouldn't say majority. ESPN has us winning.
