I saw the Cowboys offered $6.4 million but he refused. Knowing Jerry Jones, he will reset the market closer to $10 million.
Pineiro's agent knows all this and will keep his guy unsigned until he sees what Aubrey gets. I'm sure the 49ers would love to sign Eddie right now for something close the $6 million but his agent won't let him sign until the market settles.
I would agree, but he also told Parsons to kick dirt so who knows.
eh, I think that overstates the case, IMO.
Dallas needed cap space. They also needed players. They got a solid DT, along with two 1st round picks. Jones got all that. Now, we won't know how it turns out until we see how Dallas uses those two picks, but I believe the Cowboys did quite well considering their situation.

Aubrey is probably worth that. Piniero will definitely get 6 million if Aubrey gets that.
Yes, if any kicker is worth $10 million, it is Brandon Aubrey.
However, my point is, we should not throw stones a Lynch for not signing Pineiro right now because he has no power, nor has he ever had that power. Before the season was over, we can be sure Piniero's agent was doing his due diligence and recognized Aubrey was FA. So, he told Eddie, "Sit tight. Don't be nervous. You will get paid. We just have to see what this Cowboy guy gets and then we start to negotiate."
