I doubt there is anything that Mac Jones can do better than Purdy.

Nancy Kerrigan Brock's big toe when no one was looking?

Would be a poor argument for anyone who have seen the two play.

Not necessarily. Brock has been at the right place at the right time and on the right team with elite players around him. Mac has not. Which is why Brock has gotten paid and Mac has not.

Exactly.

I don't understand that so many guys here don't realize how lucky Purdy has been by playing with Kittle/Aiyuk/CMC and guys like Deebo when we has good.

Mac Jones has had no one and I mean no one.

Is Purdy better than Mac?.....probably but if Mac had played with Kittle/Aiyuk/CMC his entire career he would have been the one with the big extension.
The TD to Tonges is a play Jones can't make.

Love Brock Purdy as much as the next 49ers fan, but that play was made all by Tonges. Purdy was throwing it away.

Naa Purdy wasn't throwing it away, he said he was giving Tonges a chance for it. The grab was pretty awesome though.

I don't know man. I personally think he needs to work on his throwaways. That to me was the 2nd throwaway that landed in that same damn spot in the same damn endzone. Bruh needs to chuck them throwaways up in the stands. Even his 1st throwaway 2 seahawks only ended up a yard or two from where the ball landed

How many games has Brock played in with Kittle/Aiyuk/CMC and Deebo all playing?

1 QB did good his first year starting and when the league got tape on him he struggled afterwards. Hasn't even been remotely good.
1 QB has done good his entire year. Even when his best weapons weren't on the field (last year) he did much better than the other QB

I like Mac Jones too but i really question how anyone would even think Mac Jones could be just as good as Purdy.

More important than having an All Star cast is playing for a stable organization where the GM and coach aren't on a short leash. If you look at the best QBs in the league, their organizations aren't coaching and GM carousels.

A good supporting cast is a large part of that, but coaches and GMs make odd decisions and get impatient with QBs when their job is on the line.

I'm a firm believer that Trey Lance would have done well if he didn't get injured and that Anthony Richardson is how Lamar Jackson would have looked if he went to a bad situation.

Well my Sunday Schedule just opened up. No need to watch the Mac Jones Debacle.

I doubt that. Purdy was throwing it to where his guy had a chance to make a play on it, and Tonges made a great play. That's the way it works in the NFL sometimes.

Brock was fortunate to land on a team with a head coach whose play calling fit his skill set. The general consensus among guys like Steve Young, Chase Daniel, and Greg Cosell, all guys who know the game from their particular perspectives, is that Brock an "elite processor" who sees the field really well and uses that ability to maximize his play.

I would think the idea that Brock is "just a product of the system" would have been pretty well debunked by now. Does it help to have elite guys around you, sure. But Brock helped the team win against Seattle with Kittle and Jennings both hurt and threw the game winner to a guy who, literally, had never had a catch in the NFL until that game. Oh, and he also had that other noted pass catcher Luke Farrell as one of his targets, along with Robinson, who had been with the team for a few days. Now we'll see what Jones can do under similar circumstances. I'll be rooting for him to succeed.

Lol, you'll be watching and then posting like always
this looks like a must- win now without Brock considering the stretch that comes after this. If we drop this game, that's pretty bleak
