I don't wanna. I just want them to win the SB that is it. What? You still want one?

I ain't gonna do it.

FINE. HOMER PICK IS IN! IF THE FOOTBALL GODS ARE WITH US AND THE ROOKIES PLAY WELL.....

12-5, we win the Super Bowl! Wooooooo! SEE YOU NEXT YEAR! YEAHHHHHH GOOOOOOOO NINERS....

However, if they are not with us and the rookies are hot trash, 8-9

IF s**t GOES REALLLLLLLLY BAD. 6-10 (Editor's note: Counting to 17 is hard for me.)

I don't know. I gotta be honest, I think it is asking a lot to win the Super Bowl this year.

10-7, Playoffs, but bumped after the first round.

But then, I start thinking about how much I love the Niners and that deep down that I believe, truly, that hope does, in fact, spring eternal. THUS, I SAY f**k THAT GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS NOISE! WE GOING TO DOMINATE EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE, AND EVEN THEN IT WON'T BE ENOUGH TO SATIATE OUR LUST FOR GLORY AND TITLES! RAWR!

17-0--GREATEST TEAM EVER!

And then I realize, that once again, I have no idea--despite the fact I got lucky two years ago and picked the win amount correctly--and I feel all pressured and s**t to study the season and our opponents. Which I have not done. And frankly, won't. Hell, I didn't even know we were playing the Thunderchickens in the opener until last week. Late last week. As in, yesterday.

What?

I got s**t to do, man. I have a family, dude. I have a job and stuff. I don't have endless time to bang out the posts like I used to. s**t, I turn 50 in a couple of months. 50! The f**k happened? One minute, I am writing posts over twenty years ago to help myself and Niner fans get over our absolutely wretched play since the glory years, and then the next thing I know, I am thinking twice about that extra piece of bread during the day because it might bind me up and prevent the trains from running on time.

To stay hip (which is not a hip thing to say), I say s**t like "feels", "raging", "Bro-Bruh-Bruhs-etc"--even my daughter says to me, her father, "bruh", and I also say "Sus". And I, a person who has an affinity for the written word, types TLDR on occasion.

It is true, Tom Hanks. Also, it was pretty f**king petty to deny Hanks an award because some people got their "feels" all up in arms because he has supported a certain political party. I'll say it like this, no Hanks, then no National WWII Museum in New Orleans. He helped make it happen. So stop being f**king douchey.

Now where was I? Ahh yes, I am getting older man.

Yeah, I still wear Air Jordans, but man, they are expensive, and they hurt my feet after a while. So, on occasion, I put on some Hokas and call it good. On a side note, Hokas are f**king expensive, too.

I went from driving sports cars to a Subaru Forester. Let that sink in. If I were ever to write another Batman post, I swear to God the Batman will be driving a Forester with a booster seat in the back and the whole premise of the story will be about him trying to get his daughter--programed 49er fan from birth--to swim class on time, but somehow he and the kid get slingshot back in time to deal with some Niner related issue that occurred in the past, but that was unfolding during his era. If you are new, you won't get it. But if you are an "Unc" or older timer....you will.

That said, I am not saying I am a complete square (also unhip), but ....

I have been around a bit. I have watched a lot of 49er football and there are too many variables to a given season. That said, here is my prediction.

There will be a season. We will not compete in it, but the 49ers will. Still, we will feel like we are competing in it. There will be ups and downs this season for all involved. There will be, at least, one surprise. My over/under is 3 suprises. I am truly unsure about this group of players, half of the s**t above is really what I think, but I just can't place a number on it. So, let me tell you what I want.

I want us to win it all. But I have no say in the matter. So, I am going to sit back and watch when I can and hope that we do. And if we do not, I will hope that next year will be "the year".

It would be sweet, though to do it at home...this year. We have had this chance before and squandered it. Will we do it this year? I don't know. But I am going to find out and so are you.

See ya at the end. It will be a heck of a story.

XOXO

this post gave me goosebumps....
Chapter 1: Gritty

Your San Francisco 49ers of Santa Clara have flatout stole one from the Seattle Seahawks today. No George Kittle for most of the game? No problem. No Third and Jauan late in the game? No problem. Moody doing Moody things? No problem. Brock throwing two picks, one that was TERRIBLE? No problem. On the road in a hostile environment during the first game where folks kept going down on the OL, but kept coming back out? No problem. Young defense and Kratos is back? NO PROBLEM. So, so pround of that young fiery ass D! Let's GO! Slick RIck making a name for himself? No problem. CMC, 30 touches later? *knocks on wood* No problem.

1-0?

No Problem.

Now all we need is to get the band back together cause we on a mission from God.
Saleh is home sweet home.
McDaniels anybody
Post GOAT
Going by History we are making a run at the NFCCG or missing Playoffs, right?

Looking quite good at the moment.
Chapter 2 and 3: We like to win UGLY!

The last two weeks have been UGLY. I mean UG-LY. But, we won. Good teams win games that they should lose, but do not lose, because they are a good team. Big concern. Two: Nick Bosa and Mac Jones. We should learn something within the next 24 hours on both. But, all in all, you take these wins because we are going to need them later.

Just a gutsy performance by Mac Jones, though. Jesus that dude won some respect from the faithful today.

Surprise #1: Nick Bosa out for the year with a torn ACL in his right knee.
Chapter #4

You can't win games when you are spotting the other team points off of turnovers. You. Just. Can't.
Niners had a DOZEN number of times that they could've won. Kyle messing up timeouts. Sure handed Mccaffery fumbling. Jennings dropping balls. Warner dropping interceptions.
