I know it wasn't the prettiest first game of the season, but damn it feels good to beat Seattle on their home turf!

It's like Damon Bruce said. Glad we won. But it was an awful win. It leaves me questioning how good we are. Lots of holes and problems on this team. Kicker is shaky. Offensive line doesn't look great. Other than Bosa not many pass rushers getting home. WR's still have a lot of injuries.

Secondary looks really good with some good young players. Sigle looks awesome. LB is way up with Winters and eventually Martin. We do look better at stopping the run. I think we didn't deserve to win. But got bailed out by Tonges.

Then again, we could've beat them by more than 2 TDs if you minus the missed FGs and two Interceptions.

Once (IF) Niners get healthy, stay healthy and build chemistry, they'll be scary good and go deep in the playoffs
Most important thing in September is stacking wins.

D usually always starts ahead of O now that very few starters play preseason.

Division games are always tough.

1-0 in both the league and division. Good enough for now.
Awful win...oxymoron lol
Gritty maybe but those can be the best kind of games.
This is exactly the type of game these young 49ers needed to see and feel. Glad we came out with a W too. Now find out what went wrong, fix said problems and stack days to improve.
With the win yesterday, the 49ers quickly made sure Darnold was not going to have a flukey, magical season in Seattle like he did in Minnesota last year 🤣

Seattle is a good team with a good roster specially on Defense. I won't be surprised if they have a top 5 Defense at the end of the season. The Niners had to win one way or another. That's all. People talking about the O-Line, the running game, the QB, the injuries, the Special Teams, chill a little bit. It was always gonna be tough specially on the first game. The team showed toughness and resilience all game and that's the most important thing for me. The team lost those games last season remember and that was the difference between a 6 wins season and a 10 wins season.

It's week 1, watched a lot of football yesterday and it was a ton of bad ball across the league.
First place in the West. Now let's keep it that way!

Exactly what I've been thinking. Tons of sloppy ball across the league. We weren't unique.

it was ugly, gritty, messy, but those are common in the nfl and it's good for the young guys to experience. We just need to build off of it.

We won. It's a huge division win on the road. It's awesome
I saw some real positives for the Niners. Pearsall showed he can get open downfield behind the DB. The defense held up well against the run. Dee Winters looked very good. CMC looked healthy and was very effective.

On the other hand the O line pass protection was terrible. The pass rush wasn't great until Bosa finally got to the QB on that last drive. Of course we had a couple injuries. Let's hope Kittle isn't out too long although Tonges looked pretty good. He saved Purdy on that TD pass. Which brings me to Brock.

Purdy needs to stop trying to force balls into coverages. Both of those INTs were the result of throwing into a spot that had little chance of completion. He doesn't have the type of arm that can blow the ball right through two defenders. On that TD pass to Tonges the defender was right in front of him. If Tonges didn't make a great play and come from behind the DB and go up and take the ball away he would have had 3 INTs and the Nners would have lost.

He was having a good game untill he started getting careless. Without those INTs his rating would have been well over 130. If he just plays within his limits he'll be fine. He doesn't need to try and play hero ball. That's when he gets in trouble. Us ethat accuracxy and mobility when needed and just be Brock. Don't try to be Josh Allen.

I get that it wasn't pretty but at the same time, this is EXACTLY the kind of game last year's team would have lost. I was getting PTSD flashbacks on Seattle's final drive. I like to think the fact that both sides of the ball stepped up and made critical plays at the end is a sign that this season will be better. Painful. But better.

Overall I agree but this is nonsense.

If my aunt had balls she would be my uncle.
Hoping we get the snap counts updated today ... but probably won't happen until tomorrow.

Not at all surprised the game was a struggle. Down multiple receivers and all the injuries in camp ... I can't really be even annoyed at the sloppy play.

What bugged me was some of the questionable vets continued to be questionable ... and I hope the coaches don't react like they did with Campbell and just keep playing them despite their struggles.
