He has the season to get one

hopefully he plays well enough to net the Niners a 4th or 5th rd comp pick
So I usually half tune out David Lombardi. The other day when he said we might trade for Brian Robinson Jr...My brain jumped to Brian THOMAS Jr, and went ohhhhh heck yeah!!!!! But then I realized my mistake, and now sadly can't get as excited about this.
Did we have an RB who scored 8 TDs last year? plus 2 TDs in playoffs? Easy rental.

He is a starting running back, he runs a 4.53, he's 6'2, 220 pounds and breaks tackles like it's going out of style. He's very good at inside zone runs (not so much outside) but getting all of that for a six rounder is a steal. Our goal line and red zone percentage just went way up boys!

Hopefully our interior isn't the best, but if Puni takes a good step in run block. Him, Juice, and Robinson could definitely be a great tandem in short yard situations or even run a trap motion with Ferrell

So we trade for a legit RB2 without having an OLine anyone can run behind?
We are trash in the trenches.
What does this trade help when each and every RB wil lbe burried at the LOS because the Line sucks?

Joking or a 🤡

Correct.

Especially because KS runs him into the ground.

I like what the lions do to keep backs fresh.

It's CMC that demands being run into the ground. Kyle should stand up to him, but it's hard to tell your star "NO!".

Robinson is fine, but he's not the kind of back Shanahan has been scheming for. I think people are not expecting enough from Guerendo and James. I think it's better to think about Robinson as a cheap experiment and good replacement for Kiner.

Definitely Kyle hard to blame him, when cmc is on the field defenses HAVE to account for him every play he's just to lethal. There definitely needs to be more balance cause cmc will take as many snaps as Kyle will give him too. Should be 2/3rds seems like it's 3/4ths of snaps

I'm not a big fan of this trade. But it's ok. Not sure why Lynch keeps doing this. We don't need all these trades. He's not a world beater. But a decent player.

Because we needed a rb probably

Assuming some guys get back and stay healthy I don't think RB is terrible. Robinson is a pretty good player. It's not a terrible deal. I just wouldn't do all these trades. Keep the picks. Late round picks is where we do best. It's our bread and butter for the 49ers. They pick best late and bad early. Sad but true.

So the 49ers should trade all their round 1,2,3,4 draft picks for a super haul of 5,6,7's every year?
No thanks.

Not what I said.
Terrible value! Why trade a 6th pick for a proven back, when we could take TDP or Sermon in the 3rd instead?

Oh wait….

You make this trade 8 days a week, and Washington is paying 1/3 his salary this year.
Who said he breakes tackles??

He doesn't breake tackles because he runs way too upright. Last year he broke a tackle once every 18.7 carries and he averaged 13.7 carries per game.

Robinson is an average RB that is here to take the Mason's role. It's an ok trade because he is beter than Guerendo but let's don't act like he is the second coming of Frank Gore.

He is average in everything he does.
We should use him like Deebo
