If his agent was smart he would have made a deal that lets him get paid by the punt because this dude is going to be punting a ton.
Hadn't aged well. I didn't think the offense would be "bad", but even without Aiyuk I figured we would be better than last year, mainly because we had CMC. Why do you expect worse?

Still rated one of the top 10 punters ever.
For whatever reason the way the niners play he has not had much impact and rates near the bottom of the league.
At 39 the return yardage is not good and he strikes no fear to opponents.
Flipping the field in an injury plagued franchise I would think is important.
It was nice not to have the punter as the topic of conversation for such a long time, but....
Vanilla was the order and that is what we have. Just hope it is not the factor that loses the season.
I just want him to go and find his 35 year old self again.

you didn't notice the wind was on their side when they punted? it was pretty obvious in the 3rd qtr, with eagles punts going for huge distances. Then when the field flipped in the 4th it stopped.

Yay or nay on bringing him back? He did a respectable job after the noodle leg Crapnowski era.

I think you bring back all three - Pineiro (modest, incentive laden deal), Weeks, and Morstead (vet mins for the latter two).
With the rules change on not making contact with long snappers, their careers can be extended. So I'm not concerned about Weeks.
With Morstead, he's not just a punter, but he's also the holder for Pineiro. Given there are a lot of dependencies on kicking that many folks don't fully realize, I'm all for bringing him back but letting him compete with a UDFA or young vet in TC.

Agree. Piniero's a no brainer. Stud!
Moody/Bishnowski was a nightmare.

To recap the season and cherry pick a few stats -
Superbowl bound Michael Dickson Avg 49yds, 295 yards returned, Long 60 yards, 1 TD conceeded, adjusted Avg 42.2yds (Rank 15th)
Mitch Wishnowsky Avg 45.3yds, 69 yards returned, Long 62 yards, 0 TD conceeded, adjusted Avg 42yds (Rank 16th)
Bradley Pinion Avg 45.1 yds, 231 yards returned, Long 69 yards, 0 TD Conceeded, adjusted Avg 40.6yds (Rank 24th)
Thomas Morstead Avg 43.6yds (Rank 34th), 281 yards returned, Long 55 yards, 1 TD conceeded, adjusted Avg 36.8yds (Rank 35th)
They were right to move Pinion on.
They were right to move Wishnowski on.
Is Morstead is an upgrade?
Who is the noodle in this list?
