i hope our boys are ready for week 1. Would be nice to see our young defense improve over the season and be at their best going into the playoffs.
my big concern is just no injuries or no major injuries. The first few weeks will probably be ugly pass game wise cause who in the world will be our starters. Lmao but i imagine it'll be a ton of running and George Kittle/CMC passes. Offense may be pretty predictable early on
I quit watching them a few years ago when the teams stopped playing the starters. It's time for the league to do away with these shams that they call games. Teams are afraid to play the starters because they fear their high priced beef is going to get injured so the season ticket holders are forced to pay full price for a glorified scrimmage. Just have a couple of controlled practices with other teams like they do now and go to the 18 game season that's inevitable. Have 2 bye weeks for each team.
18 game season, 2 bye weeks, and 63 man rosters. And while we're dreaming, allow players unlimited access to team facilities, coaches, and training staff year round (keep mandatory time the same).
I'll add a cap exemption for the QB. Either just one or for all QBs on the roster. That way teams can have a quality backup without greatly impacting the rest of the roster.

Nick Martin should start over Dee Winters. IMO.

I'd go instead for veterans with 4+ years of service only count 80% of their contract against the cap. That way you could increase the roster size 20% (53 to 63) but no vested vets would lose money with the same cap.

Martin looks better with the higher upside. Warner and Martin could be devastating on the field together. I would love to see it. Sooner rather than later.

Winters has looked really good in flashes in the past too, just too many mistakes. Think of it a different way ... Warner, Winters, and Martin playing together could be fun on the first two downs.
