Martin has put some good film out there tonight. Might make the 53 since he has some ST ability.
Are these genuine takes?
He was always making the roster. He was pick 75
Moody was a 3rd round pick too. The team can't afford to keep holding onto guys who can't play just because they were drafted high. Martin looked like he couldn't be put on the field after the game against the Broncos.
As for being a lock, locks aren't usually playing with 2 minutes left in the final preseason game.

Man it's so hard for me to watch pre season games. Lol they're so boring and usually bad football. I typically just watch the first couple drives and then follow up on it later.
i hope our boys are ready for week 1. Would be nice to see our young defense improve over the season and be at their best going into the playoffs.
my big concern is just no injuries or no major injuries. The first few weeks will probably be ugly pass game wise cause who in the world will be our starters. Lmao but i imagine it'll be a ton of running and George Kittle/CMC passes. Offense may be pretty predictable early on

Just going to dig your heels in on this one, huh? It was a dumb take and no rationalization will change that.
Look at the other guys out on the field with him during that time and count the number of 53-man locks. The team can only keep so many guys based on their potential 2-3 years down the line. They mostly need guys who can play now. Martin was probably a candidate for coming down with a phantom injury and ending up on IR, but now he might make the 53 if he can contribute on ST.

Yea, because a guy who was out there on defense in the final 2 minutes of the last game is a sure roster lock.Look at the other guys out on the field with him during that time and count the number of 53-man locks.
