Cowing shouldn't even be on the roster has he even played a game since he was drafted last year. Hell he hurts himself getting out of bed. Send him on down the road. i'm f ing sick of all these injuries i'm beginning to wonder what is really going on.

Played in 15 out of 17 last season but whatever.

Seriously? So those 4 catches came over span of 15 games? Would have been better if he actually did miss a few more games.

The post had nothing to do with production but with availability. Unlike what some here think he wasn't injury prone last year with he didn't provide much on offense he did have 28 punt returns for 8.8 yards a game. Production no. Availability yes. Then there is this year and he is out so far.
Update after Thurs nights game.

3 more injuries and hopefully Mac isn't too banged up.

Khalia Davis - Broken hand
Upton Stout - Ankle
Yetur Gross Matos - Hamstring

Our D is in real rough shape but reinforcements are coming on offense at least

STARTERS Out:

Nick Bosa- IR
Brock Purdy
Brandon Aiuyk
Malik Mustapha
Ben Bartch
Upton Stout - ?
Yetur Gross Matos - ?
Khalia Davis - ?
George Kittle - should be Ok for TB
Ricky Pearsall - should be Ok for TB
Jauan Jennings - should be Ok for TB

BACKUPS Out:
Kevin Givens
Jacob Cowing
Spencer Burford
Patrick Taylor
Jordan Watkins
Robert Beal
Terrible!

Broken parts happen, can't do anything about it. But, pulled hamstrings, cramps, even Achilles might be prevented with good stretching, eating well, and hydrating.

Let's go staff!

We are a very frail and fragile team.
Trump has announced that the 49ers training staff is being investigated for being a terrorist organization .
The injury issue has become a league wide problem. Yes, it seems that the 49ers are usually disproportionately hit by they are hardly alone ( the Ravens are having a brutal stretch with injuries right now). I was watching "The Grit Code" podcast with Patrick Willis, Donte Whitener, and Rod Brooks, and they were having a conversation about it. Donte pointed to a difference in approach to training both in-season,off-season, in addition to analytics playing a role. The segment in question runs from the 20:50 mark to about the 24.50 mark. It's a pretty good podcast, enjoy and discuss.

It is somewhat interesting that veteran and rookie players are getting injured, can't point to age or anything specific. Literally everyone get's hurt here.
Any chance Kurtis Rourke can return this season from injury? Or did they automatically decide to red shirt him? We might need our #3 QB at some point and would rather him than Martinez.
Can anyone give timeline updates on our injured players? This is what I recall - but if you have better projections please add:

Newest Injuries:
Khalia Davis - Broken hand -- out at least a week, then if playing it's with a cast.
Upton Stout - Ankle - not a high ankle sprain, so week to week.
Yetur Gross Matos - Hamstring ?? 2 weeks minimum? Week 8?

Returning projections from news stories:
Brock Purdy - out this week, possibly for Atlanta game?
Malik Mustapha - practice window opened before week 6 TB game, probably return for week 7 Atlanta game
Brandon Aiuyk - out, practice window not opened, so probably out at least 2 more weeks past Atlanta game
Ben Bartch - high ankle sprain, already out 2 weeks, probably 2 more, return after Atlanta
George Kittle - return for Tampa or Atlanta
Ricky Pearsall - out for week 6 TB game, maybe back against Atlanta
Jauan Jennings - should be Ok for TB?
Kevin Givens - opened his practice window before week 6

Unknown projection:
Jacob Cowing -- hamstrings since the beginning of season (5 weeks), shouldn't he return shortly?
Spencer Burford - ??
Jordan Watkins (WR) - ?? I'd like to see him back, but no idea the projection
Jordan James (RB) - ?? I'd like to see him back, but no idea the projection
Robert Beal - ??
Patrick Taylor - ??

Out for the season:
Nick Bosa- IR

Mini bye and still can't get healthy
Kevin Givens practice window has opened. He will be much needed depth help at DT. And him being a veteran helps with all our young players.
when did Beal get injured ? must have been in practice as hes barely played ?
