If you come from the world of track & field, you realize that the safe volume of high intensity workload is indeed small.
Overuse will always bite you
CMC, Ricky--two guys who work too hard, and recover too little

Shouldn't have built this stupid stadium. It's the curse!

what year did SF fire the training staff? I remember them acknowledging this in the past.

While this is true, it's also possible that the way they train and the way they use their bodies create issues.

The issue of sprains and strains is commonly more with young players than multi-year vets because they haven't learned to prepare, to manage, to monitor, and to use their bodies optimally yet.

Hopefully the training staff is doing a lot of work teaching the players on managing their bodies away from the team, but I know their ability to do some of that stuff has been taken away by CBAs. 30 years ago players could eat every mean free at the 49ers facility and trainers had limitless time with the players. I think it's FAR more restricted now.
This thread should be like 1,000+ pages on this team.
It was noted that after the Denver practices they stretch differently before the game and for longer .

Shanahan gets right into it because his playbook is so complex and we only have so much time to practice while Denver was still stretching

Listening to sports talk radio and the statement was made that Kyle likes to practice at full speed 100 percent more than other teams do. And yes I know other teams also practice full contact. I only brought this up because the people making this statement made it seem that the 49ers practices are more physical than other teams. And hey if they can continue to win with injuries happening then ok.

full speed and full contact are VERY different. Kyle does not do full contact in practice during the season, though they do do padded practices where there is "controlled contact" around 1 time a week.

It was 2023/2024 when their staff walked to the Indiana pacers for more money.

There are at least 15 threads already going back to at least when the team found gold in them thar hills.
When was the last time we didn't have a core player hurt? 2019?

The way bosa planted that right leg I'm afraid that might be an acl
Bosa and Mykel Williams both hurt.

It just never ends with this team
This is ridiculous
Fire the medical staff and hire Chelsea Lane 😤
