This is getting out of hand. 3 more guys lost today.
Are we cursed? Do we need a new stretching / training regime?
Every year we are among the league leaders in man games lost. In the years we are relatively healthy we are a dominant team.

We've been amongst the most injured teams ever since we moved to Levi's stadium and that's across multiple groups of players, coaches, and training staffs. They should move the practice facility to a different location and see if that helps.

No other team has to deal with the injures we do. It is absolutely insane how many people are injured on the 49ers. The front office needs to get this under control.

I don't know that we are significantly ahead of other teams on the injury front. It is still, after all, preseason. I am not sure what actions the front office can take.

Most of these are not long term injuries. Some of them would not keep guys out of regular season games.
There's also zero you can do about guys getting rolled up like Puni did today. The only way to prevent the chances of that is to retire.

Well first off you don't play your stud RG on special teams on the kick unit for one.

You can't sit everyone, and starting OL often play on the FG OL team. Maybe some day when the NFL has 200 man rosters it'll be different.

In the pre-season?
This isn't the first time Shanahan has been questioned for player usage / over-use age.

And it won't be the last with the arrogant know-it-all, hate filled fan base of this team, either.
But yes, unless you believe starters should be entirely bubblewrapped in the offseason and preseason, there are gonna be some starters playing on special teams. It's called, wait for it...
PRACTICE
Puni's a second year guy. He's gonna play some preseason snaps, and they don't have endless linemen to not play some of their starting OL guys on the FG OL.
