3rd down D is always a problem with this team. Just dont understand it, has been a problem since Shanny has got here no matter who the D coach is.

At some point, they just simply have to cut bait, they're trying to catch a marlin and all it is is a stupid little minnow
waiting till his misses start to cost games will be a bad look for the FO. knowing you have an issue and thinking it will just resolve on its own, is just...idiotic ?

Puni must be a bad injury as he was ruled out, not questionable…

To be fair, it's also a pre-season game. There's no point in sending him back out there for an over glorified practice.
It's better to error on the side of caution.

Dominick Puni did jog off after the play in which he appeared to be injured, for what it's worth. #49ers | #FTTB pic.twitter.com/RnW28VrpYY

So far just off what I seen...probably most disappointing today so far were defensive tackles.
Valdez did not flash so far like he has in the previous game. Very pedestrian. Collins looked flat out bad on a few plays, getting pushed around like a big fridge by home depot workers. He might be more of a project than Kinlaw.
Also LBs are still a WIP on run plays. Way too many times they get blown off their gap responsibilities. Aside from Martin, solid tackling at least by Winters/Gifford/Bethune.

Right now my biggest concerns are Puni's injury and Collins sucking. Every other negative we knew already.
At least Purdy/Ricky looked good and Martin is finally showing some promise with Sigel. Any word on how West has looked?

West isn't playing due to his hyperextended knee.

Usually you can't jog off with a serious injury. Further they error on the side of caution in the preseason. Especially for an important player like Puni. Hopefully nothing serious. They haven't told us much so far.
