Now we are talking. Speed off the edge. Needed the Ebukham type body to mix in.

The defensive end earned a Pro Football Focus pass rush grade of 86.8 or higher in each of his last two seasons (2022, 2023) with the Jets.

"Under Saleh in 2023, Huff had a career-high 10 sacks and 68 pressures on just 312 pass rush snaps -- the best pressure rate in the NFL at 21.8%, per Next Gen Stats," Schefter added.

That's exciting

yup. the nfc champ game vs philly just got another wrinkle added to it

Would never wish for injuries but would be absolute karma if we made it to the NFCCG against the Eagles this season and Huff came around the corner and knocked Hurts out of the game...then we knocked out their backup at the start of the 3rd quarter...then take out their emergency guy just so they can feel what it was like for us that day.
This better not be for more than a 6th or 7th round draft pick. If it's a 4th rounder this front office should be blasted. This guy couldn't hardly get on the field for the Eagles. A late round pick or the Eagles can eat 16+ million.

Or what? You'll quit being a fan? Haha

Just thought about the possibility of having Bosa, Williams, Collins and Huff out on the field together on 3rd and long.

Classic 🤣

Rare trade that can work out well for both sides. Huff was a bad fit in Philadelphia and the Eagles save some money and get a pick back for a guy who was doing nothing there.

Eagles are paying him $9m to not be on the roster. It's better than the absolute worst case for them - but it's also not good lol

He just wasn't a fit for the Eagles. And they had a ton of other talent which made it difficult for him to see the field. Do you even football?

This team really likes fixing up the defense. LOL. Never a thought of you know.....Offensive Line. Just an after thought. We had many huge holes. Some I'm ok with this route. But next year you can't just pick all defense in the draft, FA, trades. Time for some Offensive Line in 2026.

enjoy

Unless they have cap issues, why would the Eaglets do ANYTHING to help the 49ers?

He wasn't really a fit in their Defense. They run a 3-4 while we run the 4-3. What he will be asked to do will be similar to what he did with the Jets ( when he was productive).

You don't want him defending the run. Pure pass rusher IMO.

Gives you a pretty solid pass rush package with Bosa, Williams, X, Huff. X being whichever DT shows the best pass rush potential or maybe YGM inside as well.

Which is fine because you already have Williams who will be an elite run defender day 1.

I mean outside of Carter, they lost their 3 best pass rushers this offseason (graham/milton/sweat) not our fault they over signed Huff to play out of position. He will fit in much better here and how we like to rush.

They did still bring in Andre Dillard and Nicolas Petit-Frere, so they did still address the depth at the position group. Now whether those guys can contribute good depth or not? Time will tell.
