it seems like he looks suspect on one on one drills, but plays well in team drills in actual games.

could he be the LG?

could moss be th C of the future?

Unlikely but sure would be amazing

According to Barrows, (on TK's podcast) Foerster compares Colby to Puni, saying both can pass block coming out of college. The more interesting comment imo was about Moss, who the team really likes and sees as our potential future center. He has much better size and athleticism than Drake Nugent.

watching their development will be fun, and now both, especially Colby has an opportunity.

When I watched Colby in college he looked much better as a run blocker than pass blocker. Supposedly in camp he's looked better in pass pro than run blocking.

If he does become the LG either by winning the spot outright or because Bartch can't stay on the field, then playing next to Trent will help a lot. If he's playing next to Burford then just not getting destroyed on every snap will make him look good :)

This
Looks like a bulldozer in the run game and pretty sound on pass protection. Only negative is short arms. But height, build, athleticism, technique, footwork all look great. Maybe another late round gem. I have no idea why the 49ers are consistently better at picking middle and late rounds than they are early. But I wish they would pick better earlier once in a while too.

It's really the 3rd where they are the worst.

They got Fred Warner in the 3rd. They are awful in the 1st and typically the 2nd round. Not sure of the first 2 picks this year. One is injured. The other looks slow, fat and unathletic. We got later round picks looking better. As usual.

Yeah, Fred and that's about it. Inexcusable in my opinion. We have hit quite a bit in the fourth fifth sixth seventh and undrafted free agents, we have even hit a couple of first and a couple seconds as well. We also didn't have first and second round picks for a few years due to the Trey Lance, trade and McCaffrey. We are just more injured than most of the league to BETTER PLAYERS in relation to other teams it is systemic. Even players with no injury history whatsoever have gotten injured here regularly.

They roll the dice more in the 3rd round. They usually go for more guys here that are big upside, big downside than any other round. They also like a grab a guy they like at the end of the 2nd day instead of waiting in the 4th the next day. Even Warner was a bit of a dice roll, projecting his fit in Saleh's scheme. In the late rounds they often get more guys who are not as physically impressive but who grind.

Or physically impressive guys who are super raw late/UDFA

I think Gennings Dunker is looked at as a possible top 50 pick at OT this yr as well

While I wasn't a fan of Collins early in the 2nd, dude most certainly isn't "fat" bro is well put together. He's simply not super explosive and plays a little high, which imo is to be expected given his size. his development in this scheme is gonna take a min.

Williams was damn good pick, injuries are injuries and calling it bad pick because he bent his knee in a scrimmage is pretty dumb.

I'd draft him solely for the name and the ginger mullet. Don't even care how good he is
