If we lose big time again because of protection.... I mean lack of protection...... We saw what happened to Brady when he didn't have time to throw.

I'm not sure I understand how you feel. Can you elaborate.

have you tried asking that question to the rest of the class?

What 7th rounder was gonna change that?

Why no pre pick text from Jed on this one?

They needed more suckers to attend Jed's Gloryhole parties, Mr. Rourke will suffice, especially during Fantasy Island night
I actually like this pick. He's 6'4" 220 lbs. I would like to get bigger at QB. He can be a developmental and backup guy. Or maybe headed to the practice squad. But most scouts had him going higher if not for the ACL injuries. So you get a big QB who is tall with length and has accuracy. He can heal up and develop here. Watch his tape. He is an accurate thrower and tall in the pocket. When you watched the games they talked about him going much higher. But the injuries pushed him down. That's all. But not how he plays. It's worth a flyer in the 7th round. He actually throws a pretty ball with accuracy. Watch his tape.

Keep drafting QB late every couple of years. Who knows if they become a solid backup. Just stash him this year and have him ready to develop. At this point, we pretty much address most of our needs

If you just let him heal and develop this is a good pick. He can spend a year on the practice squad and rehab the injuries. He's tall in the pocket and really accurate. Scouts and GM's talked about him going much higher at one time. It's just the injuries that pushed him down. Watch his tape. He's really an accurate thrower. You can't teach the 6'4" 220 lbs. either. You either have that or don't. So for the 7th round I'm on board. I would be fine with 3rd string or practice squad. A year to learn, develop and heal.

He did. He tweeted when you can't sign your QB to a long term deal.
This could've been an Oline pick
During the CFB season, I think it was BD Peacock of Locked On 49ers that said this is the QB that the Niners would like.

Someone to compete with Tanner Mordecai for the third QB in 2026 (will be on IR in 2025). Guy who loses that competition goes to PS.

Or Nick Moody

What OL were you taking in the 7th round that was making any kind of difference?
