Who said he was just listed at FS ? His film and profile in college was a classic CF cover safety. It just didn't work out. I even remember after 2019 Jimmy Ward was saying T Moore will be as good as him if he leaves. They had Moore playing meaningful snaps in the SB too that year and he looked solid in coverage.
Then 2000 came and he had to start a few games and boy was he useless in any run game support. And that's when people realized how good Ward was because he wouldnt miss tackles and had great angles. To tell the truth, we still haven't had a safety comparable to Jimmy since he left, in terms of consistency and versatility. Huf and Gipson had one good year each, but Ward when he was healthy was really good.

It probably doesn't matter cause Jiayir will probably start. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and see if Saleh can work his magic but last year was terrible
I dont know about Brown starting being a sure thing. Pinnock for sure, but I think the coaching staff isnt crazy about Brown anymore and Saleh being a "new" coach in town...he might have a shorter leash if Sigle flashes. Or if Richie Grant somehow looks better.

Sigle desert Eagle
So he's ok huh? Thank God.
Man I was worried both our speedster rookies (Watkins) were going to be out for a bit.

Isn't he missing the rest of training camp?

It's nice to have some top end speed at the position. It's something Brown and Hufanga never had.

He might indeed start. He looks pretty good and he's really fast and athletic too.

If he can get the diagnosing worked out he could be a difference maker. I really wonder what Saleh thinks about Brown at this point.
Health is so important for the defense with Saleh changing the system so of course the team has had an epic level of non-health.
