that is my concern as well.

Would love to see more drive subbing like the Lions do.

That said we need to cool our jets and see how James adapts to the pro game.

QUESTION really is...

Will he be the next to receive the Shanny Treatment ???

A promising back who gets drafted a round or two early and get all the Shannanigans excited only to watch the young kid dress once or 3x then ends up getting cut and not have a career ..

name those dudes !!!
Are we gonna see a 3peat of the UDFA or later guy being better than the higher draft pick?

Mitchell (6th) > Sermon (3rd)
Mason (UDFA) > TDP (3rd)

Miner (UDFA) > James (5th)????

I don't think so for 2 reasons:
1. Frank Gore
2. 5th (money) round

He was drafted 2 rounds early?
Israel Abanikanda and UDFA Miner are also in the mix. The off-season RB competition will be fierce.

OR like always RBs get hurt and the next guy up either rises to the top or doesn't…it's up to the RB to take advantage of their snaps.
with a name like that i'm betting he can play some hoop

one OBVIOUS Shannanigans STOOD UP !!

did you really believe Shanny when he said he didn't even know 25 was dressed up??

U think Tom Rathman as FB would have had 72 catches in one season if the ball never went his way?

.. and that's with JR, JT, BJ, and RC..

I bet you want him
Jordan James fits the SF (MO) in Running backs which are : Tough,Productive Runners , (As a sophomore he led the Pac-12 with a 7.09 yards per carry while scoring 11 touchdowns on 107 attempts. In 2024 he followed with a (7.1) YPC.

Jordan James running style is somewhere in between Christian McCaffrey's(juke and cutting) running style ,And J Mason's power running, But ,one big difference is Jordan James is a much better receiver than Mason was ,and is just as capable as Christian M. ,When running as a receiver from the back field (Jordan James had an impressive 86% (running back Passing Production rating)

J.James is closer to McCaffrey's as far as playing Weight they're both 205 lbs. J. James power game is very impressive (James started his career as a freshman as a short yardage runner where he scored 5 TD'S on 46 carries . James was a TD Monster scoring 31 rushing TD'S in three seasons. These are some of James other metrics :
His Yds per touch is in the 72 percentile range , and has a 71 TD percentile range .His first down conversion rate was in the 88 percentage area !

and he had 65% of his carries average 10 yds or more ! Just as impressive is his 20 Yds or more run's, Which are in the 81 Percentile Range
(Which shows his Big Play Ability) J. Jordan brings another capable Rb for SF not named Christian McCaffrey's that is a real legitimate threat with Home Run potential on any normal play.

These metrics fit a Solid NFL running back with Potential for more, His averages are close to Pro Bowl averages (If he gets a bigger role) not saying he will be a Pro Bowler but his averages are that ,he has more than average chances for being a (Big Upside Potential type of Player).

Scouting Profile

James pinballs off would-be tacklers well and keeps moving forward with momentum. He is adept at running through arm tackles and powering past the initial wave of defenders.
He attacks the line of scrimmage with good vision. James identifies potential running lanes and can change course quickly with jump cuts. He finds and hits small creases well to get what is blocked up by his offensive line. He displays the versatility to fit both gap and zone-blocking schemes.

His player comp is Marshon Lynch
