At least it's not a third round pick but can we please just draft someone to protect the soon to be 50 millions QB?^^
Anyway fun player with lot of production on a big team and they need a RB behind CMC and Guerendo.

How does he compare to Eli Mitchell?
Not quite as fast, but every bit as feisty, great lateral movement, contact balance and burst is decent. Good little player. Similar but not quite as explosive or strong as Bucky Irving

"He plays fast but lacks patience to allow his blocks to develop. Early success on runs over the tackle can eventually lead to collision finishes, where he ducks his eyes instead of seeking to find a cut or move. James lacks finesse, but his ability to get tough yards could create draft value as a RB3 with a chance to develop into a larger role in time."
Did we just draft Carlos Hyde again??

They just spent a half hour slobbering over Shedeur Sanders and completely ignoring the 49ers pick. Maybe if you take Shedeur's stuff out of your mouth you would actually have time to show the 49ers picks and highlights and talk about them some. What a SLUG broadcast on ESPN.

Solid. I think the bust factor with all of our picks (rounds 1 - 5) is low. Everyone seemingly can contribute day 1 with room for growth.

I love this pick! Makes up for not getting Skattebo. I believe James will over-take Gurenndo as our 2nd back. I know his combine numbers don't jump out at you, but just watch his highlights and you'll see his ability.
I'm a Duck fan so saw quite a bit of him, and he's a good back.

Nope, he's not like Hyde. Closest comparision I can think of, to a 49er RB in recent memory is Jordan Mason.

That's awesome. I think Frank is right on this one, and I hope so even more for Frank's sake.

I feel like this pick is not terrible and not great. Just fine where we picked him. We have a lot of injured RB's every year. So this pick is ok. He looks pretty decent. You can always use more backs and this team certainly goes through lots of them.

All RB's will see the field here, every single RB got hurt last year.
