He should lose about 35 LBS and become a FB
So dumb lmao
it's really not dumb, the dude will have a better chance making it as a FB than a DT
So you want to waste a 4th round pick, on a guy that's never played FB....![]()
Stick to Madden
It's only a waste if he doesn't make the team.. he'll be an awesome FB in a year or 2 but he'll never be a legit DT in the league..
did you know that Lester Hayes was a LB in college?
The fact that you think he won't be a good DT basically means he will be great then.

From my Day 3 - Prospects Outside the Top 100 thread
CJ West – Met at Shrine Bowl. I see a 2 down run stopper from day 1 with developmental pass rush upside. Over the past 2 seasons posted a 90.4 PFF run defense grade. Completely transformed Indiana's run defense. A bit undersized, but hes strong, powerful, fast, and disruptive. He's got a great sense of when to split doubles, when to shed, he's patient chasing down the line. Just really solid fundamentals. Going to be a better one gapper than a 3-4 NT. One of our biggest needs, early potential for snaps, and possibly obtainable on Day 3, it's a no brainer.
This guy is not a FB. He's a bowling bowl in the middle. One of 9 DTs ever at the combine to run the forty under 5 seconds at 315+. His 10/20 splits and vertical at his weight are elite. Hes has explosion. If you've watched Poona Ford in Seattle or saw the contract he just signed with the Rams, thats the type of player we are looking for here. Put him at 0 or 1 tech and its a bull in a china shop.

How long does it take to determine if a DT is "great" or not? What are the metrics he has to reach?
