Just an FYI, according to the 49ers media website West is now wearing #99, while Collins is going with #95, his number at Texas.

Now THIS is more like it! West took that #50 and flushed it. 99 is a DL's #...99 & 95 are going to cause pure terror.

You must be new here if you think I don't support this team.
I don't need to give them praise for everything they do to prove I'm a fan. I'm allowed to be objective.
it's a fact that this franchise has reached more than anyone else. Now if you think that's a great draft philosophy. I'll disagree all day. If you think it's led to a collection of amazing talent (those reach picks) I'll ask…again, who are these successful players?

I joined before you, just don't post very often. Where did I say anything about "support"?
I also didn't say it was a good, let alone great, draft philosophy.
You didn't answer my question.

Cool, then you've seen one of my million posts celebrating wins and not failures. Such a weird comment.
Good, if you don't think it's a poor draft philosophy then what are you even arguing with me about? There's enough data supporting it's not working…so what are we not allowed to point it out and discuss it?

Celebrating is not joy. Do you experience joy?
I'm arguing that you don't know. You have data to support your opinion, but that doesn't make it a fact that any one player at any one pick was an overdraft or not.

I used Joe Montana, but I think he wants an example from the last 9 years.

According to the 49ers' own board they didn't make any reaches.
That's fantastic for other entities if their own measure is different but that means jack and s**t to the 49ers.
Having said that, CJ West is widely considered to be a guy the team was lucky to get where they did.

Clearly he's a steal! The Consensus had him at 105 and the 49ers got him way down at 113. Don't know what those 8 teams were thinking!

Stout and Martin are good picks, but how West got picked after them befuddles me, what goes on in the room / draft day is beyond me

CJ West is much better than where he was picked. An inch or 2 taller and he goes in the top 2 rounds. He was dominant at times. A great athlete.

We've been reaching way before this regime. In fact the only players I see as a reach is Moody and Pearsall maybe Solomon? Pretty sure he was one of the top DE prospects that year. Even Trey was expected to go at least top 10 if not top 5
