If Stout had bumped him or made contact another way then the ref might have said it was uncatchable. But when you reach out and grab a guys arm the refs are going to call it. Just a learning lesson.
He's going to be very good for us.

I remember when Ronnie Lott had struggles in his first season but he turned it around BIG TIME.

This kid is a keeper.
I remembered Demo's first game. He got burned repeatedly and had a major coverage bust against the Packers that allowed a late game Adam's catch. We were all pissed at him and then he became the Hyena. I think Stout has a higher ceiling.

I also feel at worst refs should've called holding vs pi but whatever

Watch Upton put Cooper Kupp on skates and force the RB to stay horizontal, which allows the 49ers defenders to rally to the ball. Upton is a pitbull. Dude is small but tenacious and nasty.

Yes, I thought his size would be an issue but so far so good.

K'waun Williams was very good for us at slot. Stout is about the same size.
I thought he played really well actually. The flag was not a flag at all. No way. Good game form him.

Good bounce back game for sure. Yeah, that flag was BS. This draft class is something else already.

Bogus flag and if he had gotten rattler down on 4th down it'd have been an A++ game

I like his aggressiveness. When he gets comfortable I think he's gonna be like Tyrran Mathieu.
This guys pretty darn good. Those close penalties will get cleaned up.

Hehe ... yeah Ronnie really sucked his rookie year. He only made All-pro first team and finished 6th in MVP voting.

Was trying to figure out who he reminded me of. You nailed it.

Not in the beginning of the year however the rest is GOAT material.

Is he the only DB who made all-pro at corner, free safety, and strong safety? I remember Walsh saying something like that.
