Pretty disappointing considering all the hype he was getting out of training camp.

He's a rookie from a really small school, I'd have been way more shocked if he didn't struggle. This was his NFL baptism. Time will tell if he learns from and improves on his mistakes.

He had some rough moments, but the defense did hold the Seahawks to just 230 yards and 150 passing yards, so he couldn't have been that bad overall.
I expect some rookie mistakes. He should progress

First legit game on the road against a rival. He's got Saleh as his coach so he'll be fine.
He played both good and bad. Had some late plays after a rough start. That's a young player.
I didnt think he played that bad. Maybe my expectations weren't a Hall of Fame induction after week 1

Lol.

Is this guy still on the team?!
Anyone who doesn't expect some growing pains just doesn't understand much football, especially if you're targeted rookie, confidence is key, just like with Mikel, Sigel and Collins, reps and time are essential

Exactly. Other than the PI he looked pretty solid.

Yah he didnt play that bad but he was pissing me off early.
I thought he was ok. Seahawks identified early that he was going way too hard on the flat and got him with our & up.

But! He made an incredible deflection on Seahawks last drive and overall I thought solid tackler.

Remember this isn't a 1st rounder. Give him some room
Upton's rookie was showing out there today but that tipped pass was a great play by him. Our secondary is very young and there will be ups and downs throughout the year but they have a high ceiling if they put it all together.
Had a rough game but thats kind of expected for a rookie. We'll see what he's made of the next couple weeks.

It's interesting because I feel like none of our defensive rookies stood out (maybe Sigle?) yet our defense has a whole played really well. Only 13 points allowed, two forced turnovers and Seattle's only TD coming on a 4th down DPI.

I know it's only one game and they're all rookies but I just wished we saw more from the guys individually. This is arguably the most important draft class of this regime from a "keep our current window alive/open a new window in the future" standpoint. But hey, if the defense has a game like yesterday for most of the season then I wouldn't really complain.

Isnt the idea that guys dont stand out? Do your job and trust your teammates to do theirs is the mantra i remember. Seems like they were doing that
