Seems pretty bad.

There's been several players over the years but (Junior Seau comes to mind first) that have battled pain/health issues after leaving the league, can't even imagine how bad it was for the old school guys that just played through these kinds of injuries until the league started really studying the effects and damage of them and started to take them seriously.

Hope Martin can come through this healthy.
Steve Young is still out because of a concussion, it happens
I really think the concussion is just an excuse to put him on IR. Again, could I be wrong ? Sure, but the probability is small.

Once again, look at how fast players pass the protocol when they are needed players. Stout passed it in less a week.

Nick still isn't cleared.. Very concerning, hope it's not a Borland situation

This is a bigger issue than Boreland. Martin is not recovering and may be forced to retire.
He played reckless like Ruben Froster. It was awesome to watch but it was bound to catch up to him. Hope he's able to fully recover from this and is able to resume his career. He needs to do a better job of picking and choosing when to blow up players and when to just wrap up.

Pretty much. It was clear to me that he was trying to make a statement in the few reps that he got and basically scrambled his own brain trying to hit as hard as possible. It sucks that it may end his career before it started.

Dude said he wanted to be like Fred, but Fred plays smart and picks his shots. Every hit doesn't need to be a knockout.

League rules on the reporting of injuries are very strict. A team can't claim an injury and IR just to make roster room.
Might retire early and work his way up the coaching ranks (if he wants to stay involved with football). This is no joke. That was more than just a concussion. Another big hit like that could do major brain damage. I'm worried / scared for dude
So he's out this weekend?
No. You are

Damn that sucks
This has to be the play where he got hurt. you can clearly see Nick Martin dropping his head upon impact and then he wobbles off the field.

I agree that this would be the play. He looked a little wobbly when he got up.

He should RETIRE if he's close to Borland situation.. the guy is a hard hitting machine and will continue to have concussion... UNLESS... Shanny just BS-ing to get some excuses as to why the guy isn't playing..
