Most encouraging thing for me is that he was asked to play more snaps than normal and yet with 1 min to go he still found the energy to do that.
Love seeing guys come up big late in game through effort.

Yep and he's looking nice as a pass rusher from the interior

You can tell he loves the game. Is a fierce competitor and a strong work ethic. That's what I love. If you have those things and natural talent - you can be awesome in this league.
tons of guys are talented but lack the love for the game and work ethic. Collins has been going hard on his body and improving every week. He's on a great trajectory with a very bright future.
lets not forget, he was the first second round pick to sign a contract (that wasn't fully guaranteed) cause he didn't want to miss more time. This guy is all heart and I love it. Big big big boy too. He's the cousin of that massive left tackle we used to have that we took in the 7th one year. We eventually traded him to New England I believe but both huge dudes

Double team? Reaching there. I gave him his flowers on that play, he blindly punched the ball out on the button really impressive I don't think it's a fluke either he subconsciously located it and punched it out.
Yet it's the only play we are paying attention to for obvious reasons. I saw a couple other plays that were solid but overall he was getting blown up or stone walled both in passing and run defense.
What are are we doing here?

He looks like he was about to pass out.😂😂😂
Don't blame him. We lost 2 DLmen in that game and we were on the field a lot in the 2nd half on defense. Collins played his highest snap totals with 46 snaps(40 on defense and 6 on ST) his highest before was vs Arizona with 35 snaps played.
I in no way meant that in a negative way. They left everything on the field, so him being gassed is understandable.

It's about time we drafted 2 ( hopefully CJ West potential starting to show up and that makes it 3 of them) defensive tackles who are not only have lots of potential as future pro bowlers but also really good as rookie starters. Remember our disappointment with Kinlaw and John Lynch's classmate in Stanford.

It's like he got a little extra strength and conditioning work on Thursday - with the extra rest and recovery, dude should be even stronger by next Sunday

Williams and Collins already have made more splash plays in 5 games than kinlaw and thomas have their whole careers.

I really like CJ West! His hand injury is probably going to stunt his growth as a pass rusher but hopefully he can still do well as A run stuffer.

I liked watching his post game presser and locker room speech. He's a man of few words. Focused on improving each day. That goal line play will go down in 49ers lore.

I read that in OTA/training camp - he was picking Bosa's mind about dieting and I believe he started working with his chef/trainer guy.
I think that has a lot to do with his gradual improvements too. He's been getting his body right for the last few months
