I can't believe he hasn't signed, especially since SanDiego said he must sign now. Is Lynch not reading his posts???

Just talked to John. He said they're doing their due diligence in reading all of his posts and will look to improve the team in any way SD suggests. Stay tuned.
FYI, for those who replied, yes 2nd rd picks & all draft picks get GTD money, but never has a 2nd rd pick gotten a full GTD deal like a 1st rd pick, which in the beginning it was like the first half of the 1st rd, now it's gotten to be the entire 1st rd gets fully GTD deals, if anyones to blame, it's CLE & HOU for giving the 33rd & 34th picks, respectively, fully GTD deals, either way one side will budge, idk what will happen, but he'll be there week 1, I'm not even worried about it, this offseason has been nice, no drama about a top players getting or not getting paid yet.

Yup. Although I only blame Houston since they gave the first fully guaranteed deal to a 2nd round pick. Cleveland went along with it, but they were screwed by Houston too.
Tomorrow is the last day before the first rookie camp in the league starts Saturday. We are at the place where the pressure to sign goes up for 2nd round picks.
The NIL money that players can earn now can also be a factor. Some of these guys may have been making as much or more in college. I doubt that's the case with Collins but who knows.

The college compensation is completely uncontrolled still ... it has completely messed up recruiting, the championship, everything. The 2nd tier teams are basically training camps for the top tier teams to skim their best players every year.

I mean these contracts are all percentage-reduced by what rookies used to get. So players getting their just due is long overdue. I think it should be tied to how much you value your 2nd round pick,...not trend-setters.

Go ahead and give the guys what they've earned in college if you know you're keeping them regardless after training camp. It's not like 6th or 7th rd picks will ever have this kind of power. I mean you just wanna see how those guys practice b4 you decide whether to keep or cut.

What do you mean "all percentage-reduced by what rookies used to get"? Do you think all rookies now get less than they used to?

Players get paid well, not sure why you think they haven't been getting their "just due"?

I think college players should get more than they used to because they were in a screwed up situation where they couldn't work or they'd lose their scholarship. I think money should not be part of recruiting, so I think the best solution is to break all the colleges out into tiers and all top tier college football players get one amount, and the next tier down gets less across the board, etc. The amount each gets should be a function of total income of all college football programs. Basically revenue sharing to set how much each player gets.
Rookies report on Tuesday and he is still not signed. He is supposed to be a starter this season, but if he isnt signed soon he will not be.
What a clown show. Sign the deal!

Ain't late until he's late. First rookie camp opened today ... haven't seen anything on them signing yet.
