From what I read, it's very minor. Shouldn't prevent him from the off season program. I think they were just being cautious.
then again, so was CMC this time last year. Lol Collins has been super durable during his plethora of college games, let's hope it stays that way.

Who cares what Cohn is saying?
I thought he was comparing Collins to his cousin, Trent Brown, and was implying if Collins is anything like Brown was with respect to his agility and being light on his feet we're in for a treat.

Even if he was kinlaw (all run D, no pass rush) we picked him like 30 picks later. If kinlaw was a mid-2nd people would've been more forgiving

Kinlaw was put in a no win situation. The brass essentially traded Defo for Kinlaw. Near 0% chance he was even going to reac Defo's status

At least the reason Kinlaw didn't live up to expectations is cause of health issues, something he didn't really have control over. He didn't suck cause lack of effort, is what I'm saying. Super talented but body is hurtin.
which the team knew about his knees when they drafted him, so that's on the team IMO.

Plenty of players are drafted with injury histories and then go on to have relatively healthy careers. I don't blame the person who makes the draft pick for injuries derailing a career.

If you knew it was a risk when you did it, then yes. It s their fault. They took a calculated risk and it didn't work. That's life. I'm not saying I'm mad and want them fired. lol just that when you take a player, knowing they have health issues that may derail their career from the get go, then that's on you for taking that risk.
it is what it is. Only selections this admin has made that disgust me are the Solomon Thomas selection (I'll never understand why we didn't go qb, or even look into them for bunk ass cousins), and the Trey trade/selection. The rest were calculated risks - those two to me didn't make any rational sense at all.
overall, I love having Kyle and John. Everyone takes calculated risks and miss, but that buck stops with them. So it's on them.

Kinlaw was supposed to be a good run defender but he actually sucked at it
Horrible leverage and always got moved back

Nearly every drafted player has been injured at some time in the past. Frank Gore tore both ACLs in college then played 16 years in the NFL averaging 15 games a year. It's incredibly hard to predict future injuries, and past injuries are pretty consistently minimized by players and their college coaches/training staffs, and it's hard to tell for sure how much an injury location hurts if the player isn't telling you. They want to get picked and the college they are coming from wants them to be picked.

He wasn't participating in first day of rookie minicamp, but we don't know if he participated on Sat. because there was no media access. Truthfully, rookie minicamp is nothing more than glorified walk-through.
