Blessing in disguise. I couldn't possibly be more down on a starting defensive player (Collins). Opens the door for someone else to step up and exceed at the position abundantly. Kinlaw 2.0 on the shelf isn't a season breaker.

You are right
In 2025 Collins played 492 snaps and had 4 solo tackles and 17 total
In 2025 CJ West had 308 snaps and had 12 solo tackles and 21 total

CJ West is better than Collins and there are better free agent DT's available

They drafted Collins because Robert Salah loved him

You are right
In 2025 Collins played 492 snaps and had 4 solo tackles and 17 total
In 2025 CJ West had 308 snaps and had 12 solo tackles and 21 total

CJ West is better than Collins and there are better free agent DT's available

They drafted Collins because Robert Salah loved him

It takes some player longer to adjust to the pros and the system. Maybe West played in more of a similar system in college. Coliins has way more size and I'm guessing they feel he still has a huge upside. We haven't seen it yet and this injury may mean we never will. He won't be the first player that never fullfilled his potential because of injury setbacks.
