At 330 lbs he shouldn't have issues facing duo over and over in our wide-9

I like this pick a lot

I argued what this team needs is 3-tech rushers. Yes that's what they value overall…if you look at the history of this regime. Trying to debate that is dumb and you know it. Who we got that does that currently? We have nothing as far as pass rushing goes from the interior. This pick doesn't change that at all.

Collins is very similar to Kinlaw. He plays with high paid level all the same and won in college with straight up strength. He's got s**t to work on to make that work in the NFL. He's got the upside to be a damn good DT/NT. At this point he's a 2 down guy.

I'll admit I was shocked that they went with a pure nose tackle that early. Wasn't expecting it at all based on their past history.

That's what I'm saying.

Get a couple more

Now get Peebles to add some pass rush up the middle.

I prefer Farmer but would not complain.

Finally got a big 330 plus pound guy i have been wanting for years. This dude is also strong and athletic.

A young hungry defense is coming back to the bay.

What everyone is saying is true. As much as our run defense pissed all of us off; it pissed them off more and they said never f**kin again lol

I like how we are taking great size, traits, good exp from major programs. We need more of them - like what the ravens do.

Taking a page from the rams playbook last year

Wrong.

You flat out said we don't draft 330 pound DT's. I brought up Kinlaw at 320 and you still argued that.

If we need that bit stout NT guy, take him at 43 vs 11

Honestly, with his ability to bat down passes, he might just be a 3 down guy. Thems almost as good as sacks on 3rd down, and can lead to TOs.

Run stopping just isn't a prized commodity in the league compared to pass rushing ability. So you'd think that you could get great value when looking for run stopping players. Just wish this team would be more opportunistic.

The league is trending the opposite way
Agree, before running backs were not valued look at the draft lately.

Trends always come full circle. Everybody copy cats. So the smart ones develop adjust to stop that. So too exploit that, you go the opposite direction.
