Odd take. I don't give a s**t where he rushes from if he's producing or affecting the game. Many people would've been fine with a DT at #11.

Seems more impactful than Kinlaw so far…

And Kinlaw has actually looked pretty good for DC this yr. Health, snaps and scheme are important factors for success.

It's no different than anyone else's. Including GMs

right. You are right there with GMs

if he was a day 1 edge monster he's not going 11th overall. If he turns into a guy like Zack Allen who gets used similarly in DEN that's a home run pick coming out of that draft.

Objective? Yea aiight!

We all are right there with GMs. They are just as wrong as us average fan. I'm not putting myself above anyone. What I am saying is, nobody knows.

The only difference is that GMs have a staff of scouts and access to more game film than fans. Even then they get picks wrong. Most fans make their evaluations based on a couple games they may have seen or some highlight film which is suspect. After all highlight films only show the good stuff.

In hindsight i probably shouldn't have used GMs because there is one more difference. GMs are able to be scrutinized based off of who they picked and how they performed for their team. Sometimes who they didn't pick.

We the fans make mocks and predictions based off of how we think a player would fit on our team in our scheme. We often don't get to see what a player would have been in the situation in which we envisioned.

So in addition to your post, we can't compare to the GMs because the players aren't put in the same situation.
too funny

Yes objective. He wasn't even "my guy" but I got why he was the pick.

And those stats would still put him top 2 among DTs 🙊

first game with little off season play in a new scheme and he sure as s**t didn't look like he didn't belong.

I'm so confused by the hate on Williams in his first game. When you watch the film, I find it impressive given his circumstances. Definitely encouraging. It wasn't "sexy" and he didn't beat up the stat sheet but for a players first snaps and after missing a ton of the off season??

dudes going to be awesome. Fans need to let him develop. He made the defense better, that's for sure. I view him as a long term cornerstone. Just need him to continue developing - I'm curious what he looks like in week 10

when people say he sucked - I just think "tell me you don't understand football without telling me you don't understand football". Hahaha btw this isn't directed at you NY.

You're confused because it's getting off topic. The hate was for the clip posted.

I understand what his role is. It's exactly what I assumed it would before we drafted him. It's exactly what they said it would be after drafting him.

We're all saying the same thing. He is what he is. And what he is does help the defense. Just don't hype up a clip where he didnt do anything.

As would I. I was completely fine with Nolen or Harmon if they went DL
