which is always a huge plus for the other guys. He didn't dominate but he wasn't a liability either. not bad for his first nfl snaps, didnt even have pre season snaps.

let the guy develop. He's a great prospect - for now he is helping in the run game and will hone his pass rush. our run defense was exponentially better than last year. hopefully it continues.

He still doesn't change up his game enough in pass rush ... but for his first 39 pro snaps ever? I thought it was really good.

Abdul Carter registered no sacks, no pressure, no tfl. Bust!!!!!!!

I shouldn't be surprised anymore but it's always funny reading these reactions

Speaking of Abdul, I saw a rep of him free rushing to Daniels and the way it looked it seem like he was closing out on a 3pt shot instead of going for a sack lol...

Some of the grading system is not fully trusted. It's not all just stats. I mean watch the game and you can see Brendel is bad. I don't htink Mykel Williams is terrible. In fact some of the highlights showed him setting the edge with a lot of power and violence. Plus he occupied blockers. Didn't make splash plays. But probably not as bad as his grade. The grades are not to fully be trusted. What is the player doing according to scheme. What is their job. That comes into play. Watch the game. What does that tell you. It's not all some subjective grading system where this or that is weighted to that level.
They don't grade the other stuff that coaches love (double teamed, etc)... and commentators usually don't bring it up when the game is playing, I guess they just talk about immediate compact stuff like sacks, tackle in the backfield etc

As I've said many times, people use pff when it suits their agenda and calls it fake news when it goes against their agenda. Way of the world I suppose!

I think it's just there are alot of people in the world. So if someone from pro player x uses pff someone from pro player y says its "fake news" then anyone associated with whichever player is automatically placed in pro pff or fake news.

When in fact it could be someone that was never engaged in the conversation.

The way of the world only knows two sides. We lump people into groups and assume everyone in said group thinks the same way.

I'm just as guilty as the next guy.

This is what I was referring to earlier about Abdul Carter lol..

Thats a nice closeout block attempt, not touching the shooter so he doesnt shoot three free throws

What a running QB does to a DE.

What a super athlete looks like when they don't yet know how to play the position because they got by on physical traits before.

If he has a trajectory like Travon Walker I will be very happy.

Play stout run D and ability to slide inside and take double teams in year 1 and hone his pass rushing ability then in years 2 and 3 when it clicks he is a 10+ sack guy.

He is very similar and has the same qualities as Walker.
