The kid is already nice and has plenty of moves in the bag(double swipe, long arm, bullrush). He doesn't need to add a single move. He just needs to apply them better and keep polishing and refining them(ie hand placement/timing, finishing footwork, setups, maturing his rush plan, etc). Pass rushers don't need a million moves. They need one move they're really good at(ideally something flexible you can use against all types of punchers) and a counter off that. Anything else is great but not necessary. This is why guys like Drake Jackson are so frustrating. They don't even have 1 move in the bag.

Nick Bosa was mainly beating guys with 1 move in college(double swipe) and nobody could stop him because 1) he was incredible at it 2) it worked against high/low punchers and inside/outside. He didn't truly add the power element to his rushing until he got to the NFL.

Pretty much what I said :)

Didn't say he didn't have other moves, or that he needs a lot of moves, more that he needs a couple really refined moves that play off of each other and a plan. I think that's what he can be helped to develop. He's got the ability he's just young and raw.

lol if you watch the OL he almost fell flat on his face Mykel just disappeared on him. Remember Aldon would do a lot of looping like that

Dwight Freeney was one of the most feared pass rushers in football for over a decade, all he did was spam three different moves but especially his ridiculous spin move.

yup, I've been saying this forever. Also, I've been saying this forever that pass rush starts with power, especially in today's game with every team having a mobile QB. Can't wait to see Mykel play.

If the 49ers can control the line it makes defense so much easier which is always what Saleh has wanted. That said, they are rookies so they will have struggles at times, hopefully not all at the same time.
Meanwhile the rookie out in Cincinnati is holding out until he gets what he deserves lol

I agree, they will struggle with who gets credited with the sack.

The Bengals are notoriously cheap and consistently try to nickel and dime their draft picks on signing bonuses and guarantees.
