It's weird how we have a huge need for the D-line, and there hasn't been any word on this guys progress.
I wonder if he's done for the season?

Thought he was on PUP and could be back by week 5.

His practice window may open this week and he can comeback week 5.

This would be great news, although it may be much to expect him to hit the ground running. Williams will probably need some ramp up time before he's back to his normal self. We desperately need to get some production out of our premium draft picks.
2023 - Pearsall (out), Green (looks good so far)
2024 - Williams (out), Collins (out)
2025 - Stribling (out)
Thankfully, the 3rd round has been pretty good for the team over this same timeframe.
2023 - Puni (looks good)
2024 - Martin (bust), Stout (looks good)
2025 - Black (looks good)

G. Halton is doing his thing!
He is only 22, so this could be good for us long term

We need Mykel back asap. The run D is really scary without him and we're heading towards games where offenses either have excellent OLs and/or RBs and they'll be looking to run on us in a big way.
We were able to force both the Rams and Dolphins from running as much late in games due to the lead but when going against better defenses who can make it harder for our offense to score TDs it will be that much tougher.
Hopefully we clean things up cuz our tackling has been pretty shaky. Watching Seattle/Arizona game now and man I'm envious of how well Seattle tackles. It's frustrating to watch. Just giving very little extra in the YAC department. Also Arizona front has talent. Our OL gotta keep playing well with all the WR injuries.

I think Mykel would be great in Raheem's defense as one of those versatile Hybrid players. It will be fun to watch how Raheem uses Mykel in his Hybrid defensive schemes.

Yeah I don't have any worries about Mykel if he stays healthy. I thought he was starting to really come into his own last year when the injury happened which is why I was so bummed out about it. Not only did we lose him for the rest of that season but he missed valuable offseason time to improve further and make a huge impact this season. Hopefully when he comes back he still does that.

Halton has been a real find for the 49ers that's for sure. There is reason for optimism here with the scouting team, despite that bad luck the team has had with injuries to draft picks recently. Stout looks like a lineup regular for us. Sigle is trending that way. You mentioned Halton. They've been able to turnover the lineup with some rookies, yet haven't landed a pro bowl caliber player. Not much to complain about when your fav team is 2-0 I suppose.

He can't come back until week 5 tho he can start practicing at this point. Sounds like they're going to let him get back to it after this week tho.

The local media have been talking to Mykel in the locker room (Kruger and Dieter etc.)
Sounds like he is very close to returning to action and week 5 is realistic

I don't have my expectations too high from him especially coming back from injury with no tc,preseason, or anything close to real football play. I just want him to get healthy and improve week to week.

my expectations couldn't possibly be higher. if he doesn't break the all time sack record he's dead to me
