i take 'soreness' with a grain of salt in august. standard operating procedure is your high value vets who have been in the system a long time like cmc, bosa, trent, they take it very easy in august
The problem is this team has a history of being disingenuous with their injury reports so I can't blame people for being nervous.
We've seen tightness and soreness be nothing and be SOMETHING.
As someone on twitter put it we've seen CMC deal with tightness and miss most of the season while not looking anywhere near his usual self with it and we've seen CMC deal with tightness and put up one of his best seasons with it.
Unfortunately we just have to sweat it out until week 1 and see what we have. The sad reality is if we suffer another injury riddled season with our key guys getting hurt we will not make the playoffs with the schedule we have so we need to hope we find a way to avoid those impact injuries.
As for Mykel I'm really excited to see him back, whenever that is. I think he was really starting to come on strong right as he got hurt and just his presence on the edge will help the run D and his push as a pass rusher will help as well.
A pass rushing 5 DL rotation of Height, Osa, Halton, Mykel and Bosa will cause some havoc.
