What is the expectation on when MW will be able to play? Are we expecting him to be on PUP to start the season?

Rest assured he's not. Drake Jackson sucked at everything; Mykel is dominant against the run.
I just want the kid to be healthy and doing what he did last year in run defense. I don't expect a giant leap as a pass rusher because he spent the offseason rehabbing.

I'm curious why even put this out there? It's not like they're remotely close as players and their injuries weren't even the same...so why?

You never know with tendon injuries. Getting a torn ACL and lateral meniscus in his right knee - you just never know. Alex Smith's injury (not the same, I know) but a simple bone break got unexpectedly infected and was suddenly fighting for his life during his rehab. You just don't know 💯% until its done and he's back to playing football. It's still early in his rehab if you look at that clip. He has a long way to go.

I think it really helps that Bosa and him are going through the rehab together. A lot of times rehab is a lonely process and your mind can break (like in Aiyuk's case) if you aren't mentally strong enough. I hope he does come back better, stronger, faster, but the 100% recovery is not 100% guaranteed - is my point.

Dude got injured late in a game we'd essentially won already

You are kind of all over the place. Not offense.

Not that there is ever a good time for an injury but his really sucked, because of this last point you made.
I still wonder if the the sack numbers go up just because of opportunity from the better players and depth around him.

A lot of players get sacks because the guy on the other side is applying pressure. That's why we all wanted to see another edge rusher opposite Bosa. Having Height and a healthy Williams can help him but it works the other way too. Bosa can help them even more.

I might be in the minority with my thinking here; but as the #11 overall draft pick, Mykel himself should be the "better" player that makes the sack numbers go up. It really does freaking suck that he got hurt and couldn't work on his game this offseason

It blows, but I think they've softened the damage with the moves they've made this offseason. I expect Osa and Helton to be crushing it as interior rushers so much that we'll forget about Mykel.
Mykel's breakout year is 2027, IMO. Sucks but it is what it is.
